Four-wheel steering should be a standard feature on all $80k+ vehicles in my opinion. This is the single best mechanical car feature in the past 5-10 years from my experience
Four wheel steering has been around for a long time, since the late 80s in the US.

First of I didn't say I switched... only added... and didn't really respond to everyone but did want to respond to a couple like the one saying about overcompensating. You could literally say that about anyone buying anything and it's just annoying instead of just admiring the beauty of what it is about anything.

I love the rivian but love the hummer too...I definitely don't think I'll be driving the rivian much though after driving the hummer mainly for the smooth ride and non clunking suspension

It's funny how many haters out there though... same thing happens in the hummer group and literally every group I've joined... just always hating on something other than what they have lol... it's almost like they are overcompensating with those comments ?... joking ?
Congrats on the Hummer, it's a sweet looking truck! Too wide for me, as others have said, but that's mostly because I mainly drive on back roads which barely fit the Rivian (I have to turn off lane-keep assist because it never stops).

Since I've never been in one, does the Hummer actually feel premium inside? I've never been in a GM vehicle that didn't feel like a rental car inside

First of all, your thread title says "replaced". So don't get all antsy on me. I support your Hummer choice. It's an insane marvel of modern engineering. I'd love to have one too. I personally don't compare with the R1T as they are two of a different breed to me, but subjectively the Hummer scores, to use GenZ slang, 100 points on the rizz-scale.
Lol my bad but in my defense it's meant more like I won't be driving the r1t much anymore.

Thanks I do love this thing even though I miss the storage... so many areas to put all my tools and golf/ gym stuff without taking up bed space.... can't do that anymore

It's not extremely premium but doesn't feel worse than the rivian... however the thing I love about older car manufacturers over the new comers is the fact that they run the center console all the way to the dash... they just make it more functional instead of having all that empty air space... but I always have tools and crap everywhere so for those neat people out there it's probably better to have it open. But even tesla had changed that since my older model x

Yeah I hear ya...I love the look of both but my sister keeps telling me the rivian looks like a hippo and can't stand it lol

Now I can't stop seeing a hippo ?... but that never stopped me from seeing a really good looking hippo
take your sister to go explore with on an African safari. Your view on hippos will change. Actually beautiful creatures and smart. Hence, the Rivian?

Interior of the Rivian is definitely nicer (obviously this is somewhat subjective), but the Rivian's materials likely aren't going to stand up to as much abuse as the Hummer's will.

Duh... I know it's been around but it's only come to provide significant mainstream value in the past 10 or so years...

I would definitely disagree as both interiors don't feel all that premium...I like and dislike both but fairly equal in terms of quality

Not getting rid of the r1t but I don't think I'll be driving it much anymore after driving the hummer around. I miss the storage space of the rivian however the ride and super cruise is better on the hummer.... plus it looks way better ?.

Main reason for switching over is to get more range when towing so we will see how that goes but so far I'm getting roughly 360 miles per charge at 1.75 miles per kw... just got new tires so hopefully I can get closer to 2 miles per kw. Going from mud terrain tires to highway should help a lot. Here are a couple pics

Are you in Northern VA? I feel like I passed you last weekend in our blue R1S. I'm trying to remember where we were when it happened, I think it was downtown leesburg on Saturday morning when I was returning from Ida Lee Park with my son from a 5k race. First time seeing one in person.

I know many people have different opinions on Rivian's styling, but the Hummer is anything but good looking.

I'm sorry, I'm sure its fun, but when I see one, I just assume you own a bunch of Oakley's, and say brah a lot.

The only thing I don’t like about the SUV is it doesn’t have a third row. Interior feels a little bit of a let down for the price point.

I’m glad to see all sorts of options available for buyers to transition to an EV of their choice.

I’m tired of seeing the same soap bar aerodynamic shape being used on 99% of the EV vehicles In production.

rivian tesla gm...none of these interiors are premium...all very flimsy and not quality interiors but obviously we arent buying into that...my s8 plus i had before now that was premium, but then again my buddies mclaren 720s also didnt feel all that premium but guess they arent going for that.

the hummer suv is sort of a let down in regards to space...the trunk area is so small and cramped for what seems like a big vehicle...however overall i think the r1s has longer dimensions.
