  1. Level 2 NACS Adapter recommendations?

Wow crazy detailed response, thanks for the info! I only remembered that Tesla dropped 80a charging and didnā€™t realize itā€™s coming back.
  2. Level 2 NACS Adapter recommendations?

There really arenā€™t even any EVs that support 80A, not to mention chargers. I have the 48A Lectron adapter and it works flawlessly charging at 48A.
  3. Heavy Tailgate

I could close the tailgate of my Jeep Gladiator with one finger. I think the heavy tailgate of the R1T is amplified given the fact there's not a designated spot to grab and pull it up, so I do agree that it's kinda annoying.
  4. Out of Spec seemingly confirms R1 refresh in about a month

They wouldnā€™t do that before switching the RAN chargers to NACS.
  5. Silverado pricing -- ouch...

Same with mine (quad), maybe even a little over the estimates when I donā€™t drive highway. I get around 2.6 mi/kWh commuting city / rural but going 75 on the freeway for a few hundred miles I get around 2.0-2.1. Iā€™m sure if I drove the speed limit it would be much better.
  6. 2024 R1S more Oomph to close final door

Itā€™s mostly due to air pressure but as the seals break in it will be better. My 2022 is almost like a ā€œnormalā€ car now but the passenger rear is still a little harder to close.
  7. Out of Spec seemingly confirms R1 refresh in about a month

Thereā€™s also nothing saying a refresh will be ā€œbetterā€. From 2022 until now new vehicles have worse sound, less outlets, etc etc. I certainly wouldnā€™t specifically wait for a refresh expecting more value to the customer.
  8. Rivian testing new Driver+ (Autonomy Experience Module) -- stops by the FCC

I have no idea what version my Model 3LR had, but unless they changed the requirement for torque on the wheel I don't see my opinion changing. Lane centering was great (especially since it can be used on regular roads) but the lack of driver vision monitoring and the requirement for torque on...
  9. Rivian testing new Driver+ (Autonomy Experience Module) -- stops by the FCC

Gross, Tesla's autopilot is pretty bad. The fact you have to keep torque on the steering wheel is absurd and can be downright dangerous when it unexepectedly disengages.
  10. New Mustang Mach-e GT Rally EV beats Rivian R3X to the punch

If they named it something else it would be forgotten. Do you remember the name of the joint Toyota / Subaru EV currently being sold (without looking it up)?
  11. The Total Cost of Replacing One 21" Pirelli Scorpion Verde Tire

Itā€™s probably more economical to buy a set of aftermarket 20ā€s and go with a 275/60/20 tire if you plan to keep the truck a while.
  12. Simple 10" JL Subwoofer Install in R1T

Yes the vent is real. The storage tray doesnā€™t connect to that though, and itā€™s very flimsy with bass so it flexes / rattles quite a bit.
  13. Tesla can now deploy pre-fabricated Superchargers in a game-changing 4 days

Does the charging not work because the screen failed? I honestly don't even know why they have a screen, it's completely useless.
  14. Simple 10" JL Subwoofer Install in R1T

That was me. Unless you cut a hole in the side of the tray it will sound extremely bad even if the box fits. Apparently the seats seal too well and there's nowhere for the air to go.
  15. Shipment from rivian? Tabs or charger adapter?

I was also confused. We call them (plates / registration) "tags" here.
  16. Bought a truck from the shop - no word from Rivian

Personally Iā€™d expect at least a phone call or text message within 24 hours, even to tell me it will be a month.
  17. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

My vin is 16xxx but I took delivery 15 months ago. Iā€™m hopeful that Iā€™ll get mine pretty quickly.
  18. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

Based on what? The email literally says ā€œAdapters will be prioritized based on ownersā€™ delivery datesā€”oldest to newest.ā€
