R1S Updated Timeline - Per My Guide

This is great news. I am a few months behind you in order and delivery. Thank you for sharing. Looks like my May-June may hold with OC!

Glad to hear this update. I was worried that their top priority would be delivering as many vehicles as possible before the next earnings call which would mean keeping their foot on the gas with the truck and delivering a couple of token SUV’s.

My R1S pre-order went in about six weeks after yours and my delivery window has always been April-May. It will be interesting to see if that holds. I have noticed R1T pre-orders are compressing during fulfillment. More T vs S orders could compress things more....

...or its just wishfull thinking on my part

I'm starting to doubt an April-May delivery for an R1S given that I still haven't been assigned a guide yet. Anyone else have an early 2019 preorder and no guide contact?

I wouldn't base you doubt on not having a guide contact. If you look at what's happening with the trucks there are people who are getting guide contacts literally 2 weeks before the truck is in their driveway. The guide contacts are happening as part of kicking off the final process get get a vehicle in the driveway.

So, it's feasible someone w/ April-May would hear from a guide, that would only be if their vehicle was slated to be delivered right at the very beginning of April (that's my hypothesis at least)

My opinion is that April May is really the beginning of R1s production. It is about two months after the January February windows, etc.

I have not seen FG - this was my original favorite color back when I pre-ordered, but stuck with LG because it was included. I want to see it in person because I like the richness/saturation of the color more than LG, but again grey skies can hide that green and make it seem black. Again, it will look amazing with the metal flakes in sunlight, but we don't get much of that up here ?

Go snoop by the service center this weekend. I bet they'll have an FG truck there. I had it selected as my preferred color for a long time, then got swayed to LG for various reasons. However, after seeing it in person, I'm FG all the wayyyyyy. I'm with @crashmtb, it looks really good and I'm not concerned about it with our cloud cover.

Park in the old Jag lot, walk around the front, and then in the alley by the pot shop. You can get a good view of everything in back from there.

You should be first half of 2023 at the latest. I am an October 21 order and am first half of 2023. I estimate June, now this may move back a couple of months but you order 8 months ahead of me.

I got the same window as you but keep in mind we got these windows before the 25K production downgrade for 22. Unless a lot of people drop out, we may have some delays.

Some delay but Rivian never said 50k this year. Seems like the real reduction is somewhere in the 5k region and their 25k estimate for this year was conservative going off the call. Anyway you are months ahead of me so that should still leave you with 1H2023.
