Don't worry, they seem focused on pushing the quad motor inventory out the door.

Out of Spec Kyle's 4,500 mile Cybertruck review. Gives verdict vs his Rivian R1T

Yup. Hated might be a bit strong, but doesn't love it.

Out of Spec Kyle's 4,500 mile Cybertruck review. Gives verdict vs his Rivian R1T

Missing a big caveat. Steer by wire is next level except *in the city or on the highway.*

    Indications of an R1 refresh

    yes. It's a fail safe.

    Indications of an R1 refresh

At some point they will, but they're currently better off letting those few remaining people linger till after the refresh to save money. Refresh vehicles will cost less to make than current R1s do. I think you two may be miscommunicating. The adapter "locks" to the vehicle the same way a CCS...

R2 / R3 has heat pump (confirmed by RJ)

I'm thinking about putting a sail up in the cabin in front of my heat pump as well to help with range a bit.

RJ interview on Munro Live: Discussing R2 / R3 Reveal

Just assume Rivian is sticking with 400v until an 800v version shows up in your driveway.

    Where are the Rivian "adventurers"?

Hahaha, you and I have entirely different risk profiles. You do stuff I'm not comfortable with, and apparently vice-versa! There's definitely a contingent of folks up in Seattle (and @LivingInKaos included) who take our trucks out and do things like the BDR. The Emerald City Rivian Club has had...

Cost was a reason for charge port location on R2 / R3 + other info in RJ interview with Electrek

I am love your first idea, and agree that cars should have at least an L2 charge port on both sides.

Cost was a reason for charge port location on R2 / R3 + other info in RJ interview with Electrek

I hear ya, and it was a good point I hadn't thought of previously. My POV on this is the likelihood of A is much greater than B. Apparently curbside parking is relatively common in Europe, and you're starting to see it more here in various cities. I also would absolutely not charge a car on a...

    Quad Motor Departure

Yep. Totally agree. Just noting a feature that does exist that some people appreciate. It's just a small number.

    Quad Motor Departure

Yes, I've seen it's enabled. I can't say the stability control is specifically better. I can sat that when floor the quad on a gravel road it is insanely stable compared to other vehicles I've driven. I suspect the dual motor is too though, but haven't been in that.

Cost was a reason for charge port location on R2 / R3 + other info in RJ interview with Electrek

It's not very clear. The only thing really driving that choice is Tesla. One person noted driver side is helpful for very right parking, conversely passenger side is much better if you need to curbside charge.

NACS extension cable is coming! Helps solve R2/R3 Supercharger issue 👍

If it's going on the rear, it should be rear passenger so that people can charge against a curb if needed. Putting it on the drive side makes it difficult and risky to charge if you have to street park in a city and have access to charging. Other than saving 5 steps, the rear driver side...
