Interesting that they apparently believe buyers are cross-shopping the Jeep Wagoneer vs. Rivian R1S. For me, at least, the first question was EV or not EV. That ruled out the Wagoneer and many other SUVs right away. Future Volvo Embla and Volkswagen Scout could interest some EV-focused R1S shoppers going forward.

My favorite was the lack of a remote start feature in the R1S…

…And the totally objective measurement of braking power based on the size of the calipers.

They missed perhaps the Rivian's biggest flaw of all; Can a car even be considered an SUV without an aspiring name?

Wagoneer, Ascent, Outback, Armada.....

The Wagoneer has 6 lugnuts for longer wheel bearing life and reduced rotor warping, LMAO... Since when is the lug nut count indicative of the wheel bearing life and less chance of rotor warping?

Umm regen much? What are brakes?

This article is hilarious garbage from some backwoods redneck who thinks EV's are being powered by NiMH AA batteries...

Silly comparison. That Jeep is in a bigger size class than the R1S. If anything, the proper comparison is the Grand Cherokee. Its the right size and right price to compare with the R1S.

Im currently on my 4th Grand Cherokee in a row and I've enjoyed them all. Thats 25 years owning Grand Cherokees and every one of them has been completely reliable without a single issue, just normal maintainence. They've all been comfortable and very capable. And I've considered replacing my current Grand Cherokee with an R1S, so I'm definitely a cross shopper, but i made the decision to go with another Grand Cherokee for my next new car purchase and then maybe go electric in the future if eveything continues to improve with EVs.
