My perspective is that you are giving it to a third party, not the government. And hoping (naively?) that the government cared enough to put guardrails in place. And even if all intentions are good they could still suffer a data breach.

I was trying to be funny. Go read my original post again. I am describing a bug, not user error. The truck will not recognize the PAAK or keycard at all.

I see.....so what you are saying is that before the update I knew how to operate the truck, but after the update I will have to relearn how to do it?

I have an annoying new bug; A couple of times when I wanted to put the car in drive, I got the "hold keycard against door" message. This is not new, so I normally open the rivian app and problem solved. But since the update it keeps on asking for the keycard. Except, it won't recognize/accept...
