The article says the SUV (RIS) will debut late this year. Hopefully that is not correct???
Most likely just a simple typo and they meant to say “later”. Put the pitchfork down, don’t need it today ?The article says the SUV (RIS) will debut late this year. Hopefully that is not correct???
My 2012 Chevy Volt had a factory recall to reinforce the battery tunnel due to crashed vehicles igniting while sitting in parking lots 1-2 weeks after crashes if the battery was not intentionally discharged after the crash. Not something we want to happen with Rivian. Learn from experience."Dietmeier said Rivian is still working with certification agencies on crash tests, adding the company has yet to decide what will happen to with the remaining pre-production vehicles."
There *could* be a clue here as to why production is not ramping up faster. If crash certification is not yet complete/approved, they may be holding back just in case an engineering redesign would be required.... just a thought.
