I received an email from Rivian today. Guessing I'm not the only one. It says In June I'll see my estimated time to order. Anyone else? I was hoping to have this thing by then.

Day 1 reservation number I believe. March 7th

I'm a day 2 reservation holder and my account said June as well.

No one knows their date yet. They are saying that, in June, everyone with a reservation will be able to see their personal estimates date.
What the other guy said. I'd be surprised if there's another date other than June for current reservation holders.

i reserved a few min after it opened and I still have my G1 R1T. I am hoping to convince the old lady to give up her XC40 for the R2 LE. I think I have a good chance for the LE

I think the first step from Rivian's point of view is that they find out whether you're interested in a Launch Edition or not, because the only thing that they're shipping initially is the Launch Edition. If you're not interested in Launch Edition, you're not going to get a delivery date.

So go to your account and enter your delivery address and let them know if you want an LE. Then they can start to predict when the LE deliveries will be made.

I also was a first day Res holder. I updated all the stuff on my account today. I am so hoping I can try to sit in a R2 so I can make my final decision.

Are you at SXSW right now?

Just to level set... I put my reservation in today (so I am getting something in 2029) and I got emails from Rivian about my reservation and got asked if I would accept a launch edition.

Not sure what that is?
It’s the South By Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. Rivian is sponsoring it and they have multiple R2s on display there showing off the new colors and interior. It’s the closest you can get to sitting in one right now. I’m assuming they’ll let people test drive them at some point.

Weird. I've had a reservation since day 1 and didn't get an email aside from the broadcast R2 note we all got.

I'll be at SXSW for a day next week for work, will see if I can find Rivian and take a quick peek. Shall report back!

Makes sense that they ask everybody that. They don't know how many on the reservation list are waiting for an LE and how many are waiting for another trim or the lidar version coming out next year. They want to identify people who want the LE so they can sell all the LE they plan to make this year, regardless of how far down the list they have to go to do that. I don't know what your actual chances of getting one are, since you're pretty far down the list, but if everyone is waiting for the $45k version then maybe?

Weird. I've had a reservation since day 1 and didn't get an email aside from the broadcast R2 note we all got.
That's the note - sent 9:30 this morning (Pacific Time), subject "R2: Ready for launch". The June date shows up at the very end, in the section titled "What's next for you".
