So I got my comma 4 today and the xnor adapter from Lukas, but I dont see a place to plug the 2nd usb c connector into. Am I missing something or did they remove it?
Need more info. Do you have a harness from Comma? If so, did you order the adapter from lukas specifically FOR the Comma harness? There are two versions - one for the Comma harness, and one for the harness that Lukas sells.

My C4 is out for delivery now. So I hope to find time to put all the harnesses back into the car, remove the old mount without destroying the windshield film, and figure out which pin the power goes to. Gerry is it as simple as just the red wire on the molex? For some reason none of my searching is finding a good photo of that.

This is probably the key issue. This is with both Lukas harnesses:

Gerry is it as simple as just the red wire on the molex? For some reason none of my searching is finding a good photo of that.
Yup, all you need is the red wire. You can pull out the others.

You have to remove the plug for the Aux USB on the side...

I got it figured out. There’s a little rubber cover over the secondary USB port on the new 4

Im sure I’m not the only one but I’m significantly bummed about the lack of automation for us gen 1 owners going forward. I love my Rivian but I really feel they significantly over promised on the ability to grow the automated driving over time with OTAs. I feel like we hit the ceiling way too fast. 😔
In a perfect world Rivian would put the labor into making this work and then would offer an upgrade path, perhaps requiring the installation of a supplementary computer/camera system and perhaps with an upcharge of $1000-$2500 for the advanced features as they’re doing with Gen 2.

To my mind this is exactly what Comma Four is.

Yet it’s cheaper than Rivian’s offering and immediately available with guaranteed updates from a vibrant dev community.

I'm trying to recall. Have you ever posted anything that actually added to a thread rather than detract from it and shut down thought?

@gerrylum I have a couple suggestions for the Google doc, you maintain that right? Or someone else?

I haven't seen a video on exactly how to deal with the AXM connector before, so I made one. My smart glasses aren't good in low light, but there's no way you can hold a camera and do this at the same time.

I finally had enough and ignored them. :p

I look forward to the Comma4 reviews. The release of UHF on the Gen2s has me really considering getting one.

Initial C4 notes, as comparison to the 3. Both function the same, both really really work well. The 3 being tiny is awesome on the crowded windshield of the Rivian; the OEM mirror box is huge. The Comma ends up in my eyeline, so smaller is better. I'm 5'11" and fairly standard upper/lower body ratio, but people say I sit "VERY" upright. I guess I sorta do. The C3's big screen is nice if you're making a lot of setting changes, the little screen is a pain. But in driving, the big screen has zero value, or even negative value. On a dark night/road it's annoying. The new C4 mount is MUCH better. Also much simpler. The new fan is big and silent, should be super effective.

Here's a post I made on Discord on just one of many awesome features of the Comma:

So I have a successful drive with the Comma, no errors. Also quickly remembered one of the things we love; cooperative driving. We have a lot of runners and bicyclists in my area, and I want to give them wide room when passing. Rivian D+ fights me, blares lane warnings, and then gives up. Comma lets me give them polite room with no drama.

I am! There are a couple videos in the document that include sections that go over the AXM connector, but it doesn't hurt to have other people perspectives as well.

where did you get this molex micro connector? i cannot find one that is the exact same! bought a few off amazon, and they dont fit, the pins are facing the wrong way :(
