Almost did that, but figured I should put my money where my mouth is. I'm a niche market, but Rivian has hit all the right notes for me: mission, design, and roadmap. They clearly have some growing pains, but every startup does. Here's hoping the next 5 years go well!

I did something similar - downloaded the Morgan Stanley app, logged in there, and initiated the transfer with no issues. I figured it was the right place to do it because it had my external account details from when I linked it a few days ago via the website.

I never buy individual stocks. My money is all in low cost funds:
S&P 500 fund
A mid cap fund
A small cap fund
An international fund

I had considered breaking my pattern of never buying individual stock for Rivian, but I can't justify it. A near 80b market cap at this juncture feels absurd to me. I am happy for the high price though, it means more cash in Rivian's coffers to invest in the future.

I read elsewhere that they will not appear until trading starts. Not sure if that’s true, but thus far my shares haven’t appeared in my account.
