2026.07 Software Update notes - features & fixes coming

It was frustrating this winter with the relentless cold. Blades would end up re-freezing on longer drives. Before, they would only turn on with defrost, which will also cook you.

Yes, definitely had this problem in MN. I whined to SC, just hoping to add to any noise making it to the folks that don't understand winter, which is weird to me, since the vehicles are made in IL.

Wonder why they changed them in the first place. They were just fine prior to the last update.

So far, it seems like they somehow made Apple Music worse, to the point that it's almost unusable. Music is "skipping" like a CD with a bad scratch in it. It's like they reduced the cache or buffer rates.

Connectivity is fine and it's the same route I normally drive with 0 similar issues prior to the update.

Sometimes I get that with spotify until I open the music app. Typically fine after that.

I just got my lowest elevation in Death Valley last week. I’m hearing that this month’s update wipes those elevations away. Can others confirm this? Does it come back after a full reboot? That happened to me before. Haven’t received the update yet since I don’t have Connect+. I’ll be taking measures to prevent the update until there is a fix for this. It took too long to get my hi/low so far.

Mine reset. Bad water basin at -274 and Coyote Flats at 10,091. Womp womp.

I got the update last night. The improvement in steering wheel shake with AT tires is stunning. I tested my truck up to about 90 this morning and it feels completely solid like I was on perfectly balanced low profile tires. I am super happy about this improvement as it fixed my biggest complaint about running on ATs.

I can't wait to get my software updated to try and see if my steering wheel shakes with the Super Sport wheels get any better. Updates have always been slow to turn up for me.

My Gen2 R1S said it was going to update tonight… I just went down to plug it in and the update is gone.

I double checked and it is no longer downloaded.

I tried a hard reset and it’s on WiFi, but it’s gone.

Did Rivian pull the update down?

Interesting. Mine was scheduled for 3A but I hit the install now.

Seems like all has vanished. Back to 2026.03.0 with no indication of update.

App says sleep mode.
