Question: How soon until this release gets generally pushed out? Is it within a week? Is there a time of day that Rivian generally does the push? I do subscribe to Connect+.
This is for the last 4 releases to my vehicle according to Rivian Roamer. On Connect+. We have two Gen2 R1's. Almost every time they get their update within an hour of each other.

Curious what use cases Rivian came up with to require a time limit on the new climate hold feature?

Same reason they implemented and obligated the outlet timer. They don't think people will want to drain their batteries significantly because they forgot about it.

I get that point of view, but neither the climate hold nor the outlet timer seem like things Rivian should be enforcing restrictions on, rather they should educate on the effects individual features have on the battery so the user can make the choice on how best to use them.

Worst case they can follow what Tesla does and disable them if the battery falls below 20%. The outlets might be an exception in this case as there may be emergency situations where you would want them available down to 0% possibly.

I received this today and while the Ionna filter is there, Ionna Chargers are not showing on the map yet. Also, EA charger status is not showing up either, they still say “unavailable” as status.
Everything seems to work in the iOS app for filtering and the availability stats. On my truck's display I also seem to have this issue. If you select the Ionna filter then nothing shows up, even where I know Ionna stations exist. If I turn off all network filters and go to an Ionna station then it shows up just find with availability data. The availability data does not show up for me for Electrify America either in the truck.

The way Rivian designs their "waves" naturally pushes people into later ones. Given the first one is so small it's very unlikely you'll be in it. I have a feature on my backlog to basically show the average time it takes your vehicles to get an update once released.

This is exactly what I am seeing. Checked this morning and still the same.

My initial thought was camping, perhaps? Holding a temp for a few (x) hours while you sleep.

Can anyone confirm if the paak and app response time for the unlock and lock is better since the last update made it way worse (Gen2/iPhone 17).

Maybe for when you leave it on while you run into a store or somewhere and then forget that you left it on so that it doesn't just run for hours and hours.

I think the way Tesla handles it makes sense in it will immediately disable the hold once you shift out of park, or your battery drops below 20%, so there is no way to leave it running.

With Rivian’s implementation if I’m running into a store I have to now think about how long I might be and select a time. If I happen to be in there longer I now have to remember my time expired and open the app to turn it back on.

I’ll most likely continue to use Pet Mode in this case so I don’t have to worry about it.

I thought the lowest time setting was 2 hours? That’s a long time to be in a store.

Has anyone noticed they appear to have merged the G1 and G2 builds for this release?

According to ElectriFi, both the 34.1 and 34.30 builds are getting the 38.0.
