For instance, I will be traveling through Freeport, ME where there are nearly colocated RAN and Tesla chargers and would like to do a cost comparison.

"easily" is a relative term. you can compare by looking up each potential charger on plug share....the issue is they all have different rates that may vary by time and day of week (and potentially membership options)....

The time of day thing is really popular. In Chicago suburbs I paid 27 cnts at 11pm. At 9 am two days later was 50 cents. Same charger.

I didn’t see rates for either in Plugshare.

In my experience, superchargers are always cheapest, especially if you have the monthly subscription.

My PlugShare check-ins note the cost, if I can figure it out.

Generally, the charging-network apps show the most reliable information about charging costs.

Verifying costs is sometimes challenging. My answer to the OP's question (thread title) is, "Only sometimes."

Best to all!

Use their respective apps to look up pricing at each location.

I look at the "Details" for a given charging station on the map. It take a few moments, but I can generally compare prices for different chargers in a given region. I try and avoid anything more than $0.45kW

For what it's worth, the Tesla app has paid for itself after just two charges. There is a substantial discount if you have the Tesla network membership ($12.99 a month; second screen shot).

Sounds like what you are looking/hoping for is an EV equivalent to gasbuddy.com. Would be nice, but my experience with it back in my ICE days was that it was out of date & inaccurate a lot.

In theory someone could build an app or site that talked to the different charging network APIs and organized that data, but I'd imagine that there would be some massive fees for that kind of API access and I'm not aware of anyone having done so...

Also, for what it's worth, the EA app pays for itself after just ONE charge. EA gives a similar discount, but only costs $7/month.

Great to know! I have the app on my phone, but there are not many EA stations in my region.
