Keep in mind that DCFC stations don't pay the same rates for electricity that a residential customer (or even some commercial customers) do. There's higher demand charges because the amount of power that must be available for use is larger, infrastructure costs for the transformer that is on...

It's been part of the R1 navigation for a while, so I'm guessing that it was always in the R2 software/nav...... but as I stated in a different post, weirder things have happened.

The Rivian navigation very much alters routes based on traffic conditions, etc. My wife and were driving west to Seattle and it ended up doing a giant reroute due to a freeway closure about 100 miles ahead of us. It ended up going back to it as the closure was reversed a little while later, but...

Depending on how you tap on the destination in the vehicle when setting up a route, you can get alternates to show up - I believe if you tap on the name and not the "go" button, it will present alternates (if any are available). At lest, this is how it behaves in the R1 line - maybe RivianOS 2.0...

To my knowledge, a 'cycle' is a fully 100% to 0% drain & re-charge. Any fractional use (say, drain from 70%-60% then recharge back to 70%) is a fraction of a cycle. Battery experts, please correct me if I'm wrong!

That's how I am in my R1. Granted, my music library is small enough to fit on my phone - about 163gb, so I'm not missing anything so I don't have to use any audio streaming services...

The Lyriq's battery has 20kWh more capacity and the vehicle is more aerodynamic than the R2.

If the video above is anything like another one I watched, it also went over the physical slowing that happens due to the magnetic field so that it's not just generating electricity but actively slowing the vehicle down. It was really cool...... but I think it's buried in my YouTube watch history...

Just very slowly feather the throttle - it took a bit for me going from a Model Y hitching up to my R1T, but my wife and I have it pretty dialed in now (she's the one giving me distance callouts, since she has what may be bionic eyes...)
