I've been trying to decide which 3rd party floormats/cargo mats and seatback covers to go with. I've (currently) narrowed my choices to Kagu/3D vs Tuxmat, but would like to hear the thoughts/reviews of those who have purchased each? I'd also like to see if anyone has come up with a decent form of tailgate protection since neither of these companies seems to be offering one. I see that Canvasback has an offering for the carpeted lower tailgate sections, but I'd prefer to stick to something resembling the other mats (i.e., those referenced above).

Thanks in advance!

After reading closer, it looks like the TuxMat product isn't currently being shipped to the US, so I guess the question is moot, for the time being.

Brutal. I was going to say they would be the choice. Expensive, but I bought the full set from them and never looked back. Might be worth the drive up to Canada...

Thanks! It's a bit of a long jaunt from Florida.

In case they start shipping again, I've had both for our R1S.

I prefer the Taxman, espacially for seat back and cargo protectors. WhenI use the flat rear floor, I use the Kagu/3D cargo mat which is flat, whereas the Taxman is formed/molded to account for the small step up between the cargo and 3rd row seat back.

None of the above? They look like great utilitarian protection, but both are pretty ugly. The OEM all weathers are probably the best looking option, paired with canvasback set for trunk and seat backs.

3D Mats -- hands down the best mats I've ever had. I got the Rivian rubber mats free (with credits) and I still paid out of pocket for the 3D mats after knowing how much I liked them in my Model Y.

This is great! It just goes to show just how different peple's taste are, yet own a same vehicle.

I had order the floor mats before I took delivery because the Chillwich is just fugly to me and lacks coverage. OEM all weather mats looks ok with logo but its lacking dead pedal coverage and looks too rubbery.

As for Canvasback, great coverage but it looks like just having moving blankets to me.

I’ve had both mats and the 3D’s are a solid second choice, but the best I’ve ever had between material quality and coverage are the Tuxmats.

Just ordered today the Kagu/3D to try out. However i did have Tuxmat on my BMW ix and liked them very much. We'll see how the 3D mats hold up.

I wouldn't count them out, it could be that several distributors still have them in stock and able to ship.

I've never had TuxMat, but have had 3D on multiple vehicles (including my Rivians) and love them.

Lasfit appears to make a set of mats that includes all 3 rows plus cargo with pieces for the lower tailgate. Unfortunately, they don't have them for the 2025 R1S yet.

Two questions:
1) Isn't it true that the cargo area hasn't changed between the 2022-2024 and the 2025?

2) Do any of you have experience with Lasfit mats?

I am considering buying the existing set just to check out the cargo/tailgate pieces.

I bought Liner X throughout and I like them very much. They do the entire vehicle including the rear. When the rear flap is up and you have the Rivian cargo cover it does a good job of hiding what is there.
