Morgan Stanley Seems to be Blocking Launch Holders from IPO

As a Launch Edition waiting list (future) R1T owner, I have been getting Rivian IPO investment offers from Morgan Stanley but it seems they are doing everything they can to prevent me from investing. 11-9-2021 at 8:18pm, still waiting for my offer which expires at midnight tonight.... Since last week, I have also went through two different financial institutions where Morgan Stanley told me to verify their small deposits which they NEVER provided.... This is BS...

Take a deep breath and relax. Presumably they will still allow the same 7 hour window to execute the offer, so if they launch at 9 PM EST, you have until 4 AM, lol.

I've done a couple and they always ended at the allotted time. FWIW, SoFi isn't allowing confirmation yet either.

I also have heard nothing. Waiting for email from Morgan Stanley to inform me rivian stock has priced. Nothing yet

I called Morgan Stanley yesterday about the delays in the deposits and the guy explained that I had until the trade settled to get the money to them. I think that means a few extra days. My deposits were made today and I transferred in the money.

And you should have until 7AM eastern to officially commit to buy. Not sure where the midnight time came from.

Yes, the email from Morgan Stanley today said you have until 11/15 to complete funds transfers.

Am I understanding you correctly in that you’ve already received your email to claim your allocation of shares? I’m also still waiting for that email. I got a “reminder” email this morning asking me to keep an eye out for something after 5pm est but nothing yet.

I think they wanted you to set up the ACH, but I don't think they needed you to transfer any funds ahead of time. I got the reminder email earlier today, but nothing from MS yet to allow any purchasing. I guess I though they would open it up at 5:00p when the pricing was announced.
