I mentioned in a different thread, but I canceled my R1S and flipped my Lucid Air Grand Touring reservation to a confirmed order. It's not unexpected that they had to increase price, it's the manner in which they did this and the timing. I was a huge Rivian fan, but I've lost significant respect.
I converted my Lucid Air Grand Touring reservation to an order today. Was on the fence about the decision to move ahead with the Lucid as it's a fair bit more, but this news today certainly helped. I don't need the off road capabilities of the Rivian so it wasn't a factor in my decision.
I'm not super upset that my order is in 2023. I'm actually kind of happy as I should have my Lucid by then and can determine if I want to wait on the Gravity or continue with the R1S. Either way, more communication is better even if the windows for 2023 are 6 months in size. I'm sure they'll...
There is no fee. They will transfer whole shares and liquidate fractional shares, but that isnāt an issue here as you didnāt have the ability to buy a fraction of a share.
Iām happy we got the opportunity to participate in the IPO. I transferred the shares to my preferred brokerage. Happy for those at Rivian getting to see there hard work pay off.
I put in my interest for the full 175. Should we fund the account now for the approximate value or will there be sufficient time to ACH transfer at the time of sale?
The experience as a preorder holder with Lucid has been 1000x better than with Rivian for the simple fact that weāve been kept informed along the way. Iām still super excited for the R1S, but wish theyād take a page from Lucidās customer communications playbook.
Iām currently configured on my R1S LA-FE with the dark 20ā AT setup. Think Iāll stick with this. Iāve gone back and forth on exterior colors and LA Silver continues to come out on top. Iād like to see the limestone in-person on a vehicle. The color plate at the last mile event was nice, but...
Perfect, thank you! I felt like they would pair well together and I think this seals the deal for me. I loved the color in-person at the first mile event but seeing them together is helpful.
