My uncles cousin told me that Elon is going to divest the whole SC network. Currently the highest bidder is EA.... ;)
OMG. This would be the best. Then EA could immediately cancel the NACS rollout and switch everyone (including superchargers) back to CCS :CWL:

I think the scenario above shows Elon wouldn't sell the whole SC network. His ego is too big.

This thread comments are so ridiculous that it borders lunacy.
Tesla has the best charging system in the world, over 50,000 superchargers in the US, and works 99.9% of the times. It’s a very mature system that just works. Do Tesla need as many supercharging team members as several years ago? Do Tesla still need R&D in supercharger department? Can they restructure the team as the company navigates market changes? Is supercharging Tesla’s top priority?

At least Wall Street likes the move, and stock has been roaring

If that were true then they would reduce the number of people in the supercharger department, not cut the entire thing. There are also emails out there that he's threatening other directors to fall in line or their entire departments will be cut. This is nothing but a power move from Elon and I hope it bites him in the ass.

If you read through the thread and the linked articles you would seen that even the team tasked with maintaining the network and achieving that 99% uptime was canned. THEY believe this will cause the network to degrade.

It also makes you wonder why Elon claimed this move would improve uptime if it were already at 99%. THAT is "irrational".

Tesla is simply strong arming the industry to take on more of the charging infrastructure development/build out now that nearly every auto maker has EV’s rolling out.

It’s not “lunatic Elon”, it’s a corporate power play. Not saying I agree with or support it, just my observations.

Not from the personal reports at Tesla. It's a pissed off Elon because people weren't listening to him. Typical ego manic over reaction.

I’m simple trying to understand the business decision without committing any logical fallacies.

Be careful there, you can go crazy trying to make sense of a senseless act.

Not yet. He isn't done yet. Never is.
He was just wrapping up when I walked out of my hotel. About ready to call it a day and has some more superchargers over the next few days to do some upgrade in some of the hardware and maintenance.

Lots of executive, managers and managers of managers, and engineers of supercharger fired. Not so much the blue collar that make sure they work.
