Tesla Supercharging (NACS Charging) Now Available in Rivian App! Step By Step Instructions

Anybody else have any weird behaviors with the UI after NACS going live today? Wife said doors would not unlock using proximity and only the two front doors would open after multiple attempts opening with the app. Also, when she got home I went for a drive and the vehicle did switch to me as the driver, but the seats didn't go into my preset memory positions. A soft reset seemed to fix everything, so not really worried about it.. just curious if others had similiar issues.

Tow spots are like handicap spots, you take them because they are the last open spot, then people leave and you look like a Thoughtless person.

I typically don’t move once I plug in but if someone pulls in needing one of those and another spot is open I would move.

Check your filters under hide

My truck is not showing Tesla chargers even with all filters off. Even this magic dock site where I successfully used plug & charge did not show on the map

Same with mine. I see all the available Tesla chargers in the app but none in the truck.

I met an R1S owner charging with their "Ford" adapter today. Watched them seamlessly Plug & Charge. They were pulling 200+ kW at around 30% state of charge.

According to the Rivian email I received today, “Only Rivian-provided adapters should be used with your Rivian vehicle and with the Supercharger network. Using either an AC charging adapter or a third-party DC charging adapter at a Tesla Supercharger could render your vehicle inoperable.”
Is that even true, and if so, what’s wrong with third party adapters??

Same with mine. I see all the available Tesla chargers in the app but none in the truck.

My R1S is on 2024.07.02, the nav defaulted to hide the chargers that need an adapter, once I unchecked it I see the ones around my house that show as NACS.

I did have to show adapter required again, does not seem to stick, I need to test more, but the 2 highlighted ones are Tesla Superchargers, they show 2 of 12 and 1 of 8 available. At busy stations the available are not very accurate as they take time to update, if more than 3 shows available good chance one is open, otherwise it is a coin toss.

The nav system cannot get live traffic updates, so maybe it takes days for it to catch up. Most of the sites show status for chargers, so they must be using connectivity to get this info.

Do you not see any live traffic updates? I see them on my map, lines are not as heavy as on the Tesla but they are there, sometimes I turn off satellite view so they show better.

Curious if you do not see it or just do not trust it.

I think it might be on Rivians end since the app is really slow to update charging locations in the map.

I had a similar issue last week so it may be a bug with the current software and not tied to today specifically. I walked up to my truck and only the back doors unlocked. It took several tries with the app to get it to lock and then unlock all of the doors. First time something like that has happened.

I had something similar with unlocking after this last update. Has only happened once.
