I ordered EV Sportline Rock Sliders a few weeks ago with a September estimated delivery. When I was looking, they were the only ones who have advertised zinc coating prior to powdercoating.
And for the guy suggesting anodizing prior to coating. These are steel. You anodize aluminum. You want to sound smart, you should've suggested galvanizing. No one is currently (as far as I'm aware) offering galvanizing prior to powder, or they would've had my money.
But rest assured ladies and jellyspoons--from a metallurgical perspective, if you scrape through coatings, you will rust (I understand and recognize the images previously posted here didn't show coating damage; this is conversational). Even stain*less* steel is just that stainless. Not stain proof. Stainless steel in the right environments, especially with surface damage will eventually begin to corrode.
BUT, well coated steels will last the longest, for sure.
