I predict at the launch event they will advertise it as "Starting at $79,999" to make it sound like it will qualify for the tax credit.

Of course they won't actually make more than a token handful at that price. But wall street and reviewers will like pretending that it will qualify for the credit.

Awesome. I still have a day one reservation for an E-Silverado. I've had zero, nada, zilch communication about it from GM. Now GM is announcing another EV Truck that they have not clue as to when they will deliver it. Yeah, a $100k Escalade is exactly what they need to meet Barra's goals she set out two years ago:

It would be compelling if they can keep it as close to $100k as possible, but I think a reasonably well equipped one will be closer to $150k+. Unless, it has close to only 200 miles of range? But then again, I’m pulling numbers out of my bum.
