im pretty handy and will be installing my boards over the weekend or next week. i will do yours for $100. how hard can it be ?
I did mine last week with a friend. First one took about 3 hours. The other side took 34 minutes (all the tools out, truck raised, et cetera). I could see a shop - after doing their first one - quoting the job at 2 hours for the pair, 2 people. At $100/person/hour that's $400 (many shop rates are higher). So $200 would be an excellent price but $900 would be too high. If you're in the Seattle area definitely take up @dleewla on his offer. :)

What was the dimension of the tab on the new one?
Try to install the running boards on my 3/23 build R1S and faced the same issue on the driver rear.
Another issue was on the passenger front, can not get the bracket to sit flush, look like the hole shifted by 1/4 to 3/8.
I emailed the support yesterday but have not heard any back yet.
Here is the picture:

R1S has different brackets than R1T - shoot me a PM and we'll give you a call.

Hi EV Sportline, how are the rock sliders going for the R1S? Are those already shipping out as well?

we should have our production sample in about 2 weeks. Assuming that fits a-okay, we'll be in production...so its not too far behind.

In the Seattle area I rented a bay for 2.5 hours (~$150) from https://stewsgarage.com/ and did the install with a friend. It was fun and easy. Putting the car up on a lift helped a ton and made it easy. Using an air gun to get the bolts on and off was also super fun. I drilled the holes to install.

@EV Sportline or @BrookeRRiv do you have any recommendations of who I might be able to reach out to in the Chicago area to get a quote on an install for the sliders? I don’t have my sliders yet, but I thought it might be wise to start investigating now. I don’t have many of the tools to do the install yet, and I started to do the math and it seems like it might be better to pay a professional.

Received my running boards on Jun 17 (ordered May 8) and installed on Father’s Day. Took a total of 4 hours to finish with removing plastic covers taking up most of it! Easier than I thought but took my time reading the instructions and watching the YT video. My wife and I are both vertically challenged so we’re very happy with the results. Thanks again EV Sportline for a great product!

put 2-3 pieces of aluminum foil over it, hammer the TP55 bit through the foil into the head of the bolt...
@EV Sportline keRRiv
Thanks for the tip. I’ll try that.

Would you guys mind sending me a replacement underbody bolt for the one that got stripped?

Damn, I wish I had known about this place before. Would have saved me a lot of time. Good to know for the future.

The running boards look great. We love ours also. We have ours adjusted fully in. The Rivian Compass logo on the ground has only very small portion shaved off of it.

I did my install on Father's day as well. Decided to go with the slot method which in the end I'm glad I did because two of the brackets did not fit right and I had to grind them down to fit around other bolts in the frame. Took me about 5.5 hours total mostly solo except when mounting the actual running boards. They look and function great.
1 hr - unpacking and attaching plates to running boards (so much to unwrap)
2.5 hrs - Passenger side. I added an extra step since you need to torque down the T55 bolts before putting the panels back on and then attach the boards. Steps - (1) remove 3 panels. This took a while as I was way too gentle with the clip removals (2) remove t55 bolts, (3) attach brackets and snug fit t55 bolts. Attach running board. (4) torque down T55 bolts. Doing this with the boards attached will keep the brackets in line. (5) remove running boards. (6) cut out L shape holes for bracket access. I went very slowly and meticulously on this step remeasuring and holding up to truck to make sure it was right (7) re-install the 3 panels. (8) attach and tighten down running board.
2 hrs - Driver side. This was faster since I was able to remove the panels a lot quicker and trusted the cut outs even though I had to spend some time grinding out slots on two of the brackets to get them to sit flush. (one of them pictured. I kind of butchered the other one so I didn't take photo evidence).

This is not hard to do even with the L cut-outs. Just takes some time.
