I just picked up my 2023 mid 18000 vin R1T and to my surprise it has a 12 volt DC outlet in the frunk! I said to the service guy "I thought they removed these months ago?" and he replied "yep, they did. you must have an older build." I pointed out the 2023 on the sticker and the Vin and he repsonded with "oh wow, looks like it's back." While I don't know if mine was a fluke or not, I certainly have it on a 2023 and I'm very happy about it.
Update:
I have confirmed the outlet works. And here is a picture for those with trust issues.

My March 2023 in 18000s VIN also has the frunk outlet. I have not tried it yet, but assume it works.Picked up my 182XX R1T today and it has all three 12v.
And I have the opposite. None in the frunk, but do have one under the dash. VIN 156XX, delivery details in my signature.I reported earlier in this thread that I do have a 12v plug in the frunk. I am back to report I do not have a 12v under the dash. Luckily, it’s not that big of a deal to me, but surprised at the inconsistency of delivered vehicles.
173xx R1T none in the frunk, one under the dash, but it seems to be dead. And I have the opposite. None in the frunk, but do have one under the dash. VIN 156XX, delivery details in my signature.
Crap.....I have not actually checked to see if mine actually works! And here I was all excited.173xx R1T none in the frunk, one under the dash, but it seems to be dead.
Useless to you. I put in a phone mount and wish I had the dash 12V to plug it in rather than running it to the center console.Recent pick up 181XX no frunk 12V. Seems like it started in the 200s. Still have the useless (to me) 12V under the dash.
Yeah I think the 12V in the dash is more useful to more people than the one in the frunk. Still not a fan of them removing it and the "we did a survey" comment Rivian made doesnt really ring true -- its too early for that kind of decision making.Useless to you.
