Need Advice on getting quad vs. dual

Today, you'll get better efficiency and range with DM, but QM is going to be the superior driving experience in most applications. This is coming from the lead engineer who worked on both systems.. I would actually argue the simplified hardware/software design is the best aspect of DM as that...

Need Advice on getting quad vs. dual

Unless you take both out on a track in inclement weather, you may not be able to tell the difference 😉 As Mason put it, the only vehicle better than a dual motor Rivian... Is a quad motor Rivian.

    Do Inflatable Jacks Work?

I like the extra utility of the HiLift, but I'm not sure if it will even work with R1T on sliders.. plus, the added risk of operating at near the recommended weight limits makes me think there are safer alternatives that don't have the possibility of permanent injury.

Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

First tire rotation with the sliders--looks like I won't be needing the pucks anymore! 😄

    Do Inflatable Jacks Work?

I have RUS + sliders installed. I agree with you on stability, this is precisely why I'm looking for alternatives to my current setup..

    Do Inflatable Jacks Work?

Correct, I'm looking for a more practical alternative to my bottle jack if I need to lift up a corner on uneven terrain.

    Do Inflatable Jacks Work?

Interesting, that seems to imply you can safely use an inflatable jack on the sides

    Do Inflatable Jacks Work?

Does anyone have any experience with an inflatable jack (example) under a Rivian? I have a bottle jack, but even with sliders it would be difficult to operate on a slope. These pillows rated up to 4T and can be hooked up to onboard compressor, so should work in theory..

    Who’s using EVgo and why

I use EVGo whenever possible, because EA peeps have a habit of charging to 100% since it’s free for them.

Better wise up because you can't afford stupid.

    Oops! Who got too ambitious?

Rivian's (or any large EV) Achilles heel seems to be mud.. those ATs turn into slicks the second you lose grip and it's game over with all that weight and no traction.

    R1T - Tonneau/Bed Cover Options?

Nah, just pointing out the strength of the aluminum panels. You would not be able to do that on most other tonneau covers.

    R1T - Tonneau/Bed Cover Options?

I got the interrobang cover and it is great. Looks good, dry bed after car wash, and you can stand on it.

Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

After 8 months of waiting, they are finally here! R1T is a big boy, I'm curious to see how the exposed nuts will hold up to all the bashing and sliding. After all, that's what this protection is for, right?

R1S vs Model Y in mud

I got stuck on flat ground on aired down ATs, also no sinkage when walking but wet clay underneath the crust.. the problem is absolutely the weight, even with aggressive tread the tires will turn into slicks the moment you start spinning. I was able to self-recover with 4 traction boards and a...
