And you got two magnets for the frunk storage lid! Check the headrest trim to see if you have wood or plastic? How many tie owns in the cargo area?

While searching the topic a couple weeks ago I came across an article claiming the frunk 12V was removed due to problems with a supplier. Rivian worked quickly to find alternate suppliers, but the parts had to be re-certified (which takes time). In the meantime, they couldn't just idle the production lines, so they kept rolling and delivering without the socket. I wonder if dash 12V is in the same situation.

Apologies if it's been covered (just don't have the patience to wade through all 18 pages).

Any updates on this from people with more recent deliveries?

I have confirmed the outlet works. And here is a picture for those with trust issues.
If you plug in, and walk away or lock it, does your frunk 12v stay on/running?

March 2023 delivery VIN 1869X no plug one magnet. Yes has the hard to reach and see under dash 12V. Need to pop open light to see if extra wire are present to DYI. Anybody done this? Desire to plug in cooler.

I would assume it works like my early build— the plug stays on as long as you turn “outlets” on from the screen. I wish there were a persistent on option, rather than having to remember to turn it back on every 3 days so my fridge stays cold.

Such a weird thing to remove for the low cost of the part. I would have given up the camp speaker to keep as many power options as possible.

Our Dear Opal is VIN 224XX. She was produced in late March, 2023. She does not have the frunk or underdash 12 volt outlets. I would have liked to have them but we can survive without them. The truck is working great. I'll take that instead.
