Precisely, and taking up 350kw chargers with a vehicle only capable of 50ish maybe 100.The only issue with this is most people will not understand why they are not seeing those numbers….
At the stations I've been to so far I can't tell the 150 from the 350 until I'm actually in the parking spot unfortunately. One of the locations I've been to, I actually have to park in the ICE spots next to the chargers to get the cable to reach.Looks good. I had trouble telling the 150 from 350 at the location i was charging at.
That and the spots aren't designed for the R1T, my truck was sticking out into the lane a little, but that may be a walmart thing.
The current stickers are very tiny and you have to know exactly what you're looking for.At the stations I've been to so far I can't tell the 150 from the 350 until I'm actually in the parking spot unfortunately. I did have a surprisingly good interaction the other day where I pulled up and there was a Mustang Mach E driver who had just plugged into the 350. As I pulled up to the 150 that was the only plug open, she asked if I could get more than 150 and when I said yes she moved to use the 150 instead and let me use the 350. Definitely the best interaction that I've had yet at a DCFC station.
I keep saying they need to consider that not all EV's are going to be Bolts and Leafs. Can't wait to see 2 Hummers try and get into two Electrify America spaces side by side....Looks good. I had trouble telling the 150 from 350 at the location i was charging at.

There are going to be lots of people charging on the 350 kw units because "I want my car to charge hyper-fast". I don't feel like we can blame the general public. Automakers should put a label under the charge door that says "This vehicle can support XXX kw maximum charging." Of course there would have to be fine print that says "Actual charge rate may vary depending on battery state of charge, temperature, and terribly unreliable charging equipment."The only issue with this is most people will not understand why they are not seeing those numbers….
Aren't the charger numbers also in large black letters at the top of the charger? At least that has seemed to always be my experience. Also wish they had giant numbers on them to coordinate in app, right noe it seems like a tiny id number on the screen, and the screens are hard to read in the sun.
