Complaining first thing Monday morning when the update has been promised "this week"? Pssh ...

After that first email went out saying that the configurator would be updated in a few weeks, we had people asking for their update mere days afterward. This is tame in comparison ?

Seriously, when the fortunate people actually get their Config page reset this week can you please report when a Cancelled vehicle gets restored.

I mean really... only Rivian could make one of the dumbest moves for a start-up then reverse course the next day, and still allow a MONTH to pass by without actually doing any of the promised corrections. I realize they will eventually get around to it. Just remarking on how lethargic Rivian really is.

Wait, I thought you bought an ICE truck and were out. Are you back on the Rivian train?
My wife and I both cancelled our reservations and I found a f150 that I liked but didn’t love, on my local dealers lot. Put a $500 deposit on it and by the time they were ready to sell it to me (they were still waiting for the title to show up) Rivian sent the apology and we decided to roll the dice on waiting.

Rivian’s apology at least earned them a chance at my business.

That’s fantastic! Glad you weren't locked into the ford. Clearly I’m dripping with bias but I think you made a good decision!

The email said "next week", so I started checking at 12:01 AM Sunday morning. New Zealand Daylight Time. It's now been 49 hours and 15 minutes since they personally guaranteed I'd get all the updates about everything I ever wanted to know.

I'm sorely disappointed and will immediately being writing Customer Service long diatribes about how they have disappointed their single most important customer.

I mean what - do you want to go and edit your config for the 50th time? Why would that be a priority. They are likely building a reversal solution, testing on limited people, and will go live at some point this week. I'm sure they're also working on an update to the site based on the email Friday. It's not as easy as 'undo that please' in the tech world.

I was one of the lucky people contacted about taking delivery at the plant on 3/31, and the guide called and emailed me on 3/24. I replied to confirm and asked a question on the same day about payment. I didn't hear back so I tried again via text/email/call every day, and nada. My configuration is not locked and still shows the incorrect price, and I can't reach the guide. This is really cutting it close for me with only three days to go and I'm not even able to start the payment process.

I totally get that they are busy, but I was hoping to have seen some movement on my config or setting me up for payment (the 8 steps thing) by now, if they are truly doing an end of quarter push and expect me to take delivery on Thursday.

I would bet on Friday Avril 1. If it was me, I wouldn’t risk disrupting current push for deliveries before the end of the quarter by implementing a big change like this one.

I didn't get the standard email with a link to schedule a call, they called me directly as my initial contact. I don't have any contact information for them aside from the "question mark" thing on the website.

edit: Again, I hope this doesn't sound unreasonable or annoying. I get that I'm lucky to have the chance to take delivery so soon. I just wish I would hear a reply or see movement, because once it happens, the stress around timing to get a loan/etc will disappear instantly.

They were very nice to me through the roller coaster. I told them I wasn’t sure what to do from the get go as I have a lightning reservation as well but I wasn’t included in any of the 22 Waves. They told me that I shouldn’t hold my breath for the lightning to show up regardless of how early I reserved.

They refunded my deposit and the dealer owner asked me to bring the Rivian by for him to check it out when it shows up.

Actually No. In fact, I have never changed my L.E. R1T from Launch Green and FE green Interior picks since Nov 2020. Never. I did play around with accessory choices that's it.

My inquiry is mainly about the restoration of the emotionally-charged order cancelations like I did the evening of pricing-gate. I kept my L.E. R1T intact but did cancel the 2nd deposit for the R1S Explore package. When the dust settled the next day or so I contacted CS requesting to restore the R1S as previously configured. Just hoping to see others getting their cancelled orders back up on the Configurator.
