What was the build date on your truck? Trying to figure out how long production to delivery takes on average
last 6 digits on the VIN would be cool to know what build number it is.

Two drivers, full coverage. I'm 6'2" and I raise the seat a bit. My wife, 5'2", can raise it so high her feet can't touch the floorboard... Lots of adjustability! The most comfortable seats I've ever owned.
Great stuff! When you're the size of a small bear, you almost always have to shop for vehicles by fit, like you are buying an $80K pair of sneakers...

That is a really surprisingly great rate. We used to have State Farm back in the day but the rate kept creeping up and we switched to Progressive. Does that rate include a driver tracking feature that you use for some specified amount of time to determine your driving habits and purportedly save you money for good habits?

Something tells me that the 3s 0-60 of the RIVIAN might end up RAISING your rate if Jake from State Farm is watching....

Thanks for posting!

Happy to report my launch green R1T arrived yesterday! Now happily picking up kids in a much sweeter ride.

The truck is amazing. I’ve never been happier to drive to work in my life.

Glad to answer any questions. The delivery process was super smooth. The only issue I ran into was accessory availability. Per my guide, the all weather mats, tent and crossbars aren’t currently available, at least not in SoCal. To be honest, I can wait a couple of weeks, after waiting over three years for the truck!

@JDMD or @godfodder0901 - Congrats to both of you!!

Can you give us a breakdown of your timeline from contact to delivery? (e.g. first guide contact __ months ago, delivery date given ___ days ago, documentation signed __ days ago, etc)

I understand that this will vary for everyone, but at least it would be a frame of reference for further deliveries.

Thanks!

I see you're in CA (like me). well, you can now apply for those HOV lanes access stickers. just plan to wait around 6-9 months before they come.
Be sure to put them on a piece of paint protection film as those stickers are NOT removable. I see lots of vehicles with expired (no longer valid) stickers that are either not removed or an attempt was made and look horrible. Sucks that CA does not allow you to put them on the rear window ... at least they could be scraped off! I ended up not using my stickers as my normal routes don't take me on roads with carpools ... seems like everything is changing to toll roads!!!!

I actually purchased some removable sticky sheets and stuck my stickers on that. Did not need them all of the time but would stick them on when I did and took them off the rest of the time. Worked great for me until they expired.

I'm 99% not even going to put a sticker on. I hate them. Plus there are hundreds of Teslas running around here in HOV lanes without stickers. I think (at least in SoCal) Teslas are so well known that nobody bats an eye at them being in the HOV lane. Of course a cop having a bad day will also make you have a bad day but that's pretty rare (I hope).

My cousins/friends who's been driving Teslas for at least 3+ years haven't been using stickers at all. No issue.

I also don't run a front plate. In my almost 30 years of driving, I've gotten maybe 3 $40 tickets for it between living in New Jersey and California. Small price to pay. :)

Can any of the recent deliveries comment on how much you are paying for insurance? I just got a quote for $3,500 from my insurance company...seems crazy high, but perhaps Rivian's are more costly to insure?

For us, it wound up being a $600/yr increase over our 2007 FJ. Annual cost for the Rivian line comes out to $969. Compare to $645/yr for our ID.4 and $839/yr for our Sprinter conversion (this is cash value replacement and has some personal property coverage -- insurance is too complex to easily make direct comparisons).

Edit to add: we have Safeco (high limits, high deductibles, also have homeowners and umbrella with them)

I was quoted $1616.56/year for the R1T with USAA, which I went with. Rivian quoted me ~$2400/year, so it was a no brained for me. Granted, I have significant bundling discounts with USAA, for what it’s worth.

Agreed. I’m not putting those stickers directly on my truck. No way.

It was only $20 more a month for me through Progressive when replacing a 2021 4Runner. This is on a straight auto policy, no HOI or anything. Does your quote include your homeowner's insurance, etc?

Edit: this is a quote without a VIN, just make/model.
