Does anyone want to venture a guess about their “End-o-April” delivery updates? Do you think it’s possible someone will see dates reaching into 2025? I’m still stupidly optimistic that that all us pre-March reservation holders see an update that includes delivery this year. All my talks with Rivian C.S regarding delivery windows has felt positive and they all mentioned that we should the dates move up from Q4 2024 to something a bit closer. After feeling slighted by rivian in the past, going from Oct-Dec 2022 to 2024, I’m hopeful. Am I just delusional or is there still a chance we could be in the driver seat this year?
May ‘21 pre-order, large pack, quad motor Rivian Blue, 22” wheels. Southern Oregon. Thoughts?

Have your gotten a gide yet? Since your May 21' (I'm Oct 21' Q4 delivery) you should be getting yours very soon. As it's been said, a lot has to do with the capacity of the service centers to deliver and service the vehicles. I don't know if they can process all of the orders in a timely manner even though production has increased.

No guide… do you have yours?
They did open a new service center in Portland and I have seen a couple R1Ts in town… hopefully I will hear from a guide soon.

I think Pre-March orders are moved up to be complete by end of the summer. I also am going to be optimistic that they refresh the dates BEFORE the last day of the Month. They gotta spit shine things to look good for new prospective buyers.

I’m in a similar situation as you. Pre-March pricing, large pack, quad, R1T. I’m 80 miles from a service center that opens any day now, but my January update moved me from Dec ‘22 to 2024.

I am not optimistic, and even if I get moved up to 2023 it will probably move back again in 3mo. Too many variables Rivian seems unable to manage.

Less than a week ago, my window said July-Sep23 since the last update. No changes to my config for a year. Logging in today, it says “processing estimate“. Since I made no changes, I assume they have started the process. Most likely they will release the update Friday after CS closes. But we can peek at the code to see otherwise, unless they plug that hole.

That or your build was selected for production.

Same here. Were you asked to confirm your configuration yet?

Assuming you are in a service area, no. If you are outside a delivery area the updated date may be "never".

+1...looks like the process has begun. Sleuthing around graphql the "static msg" variable for estimated delivery date (basically making everyone's say "processing estimate" is now set to True.

{"data":{"getParameterStoreValues":[{"key":"FF_ACCOUNT_ESTIMATED_DELIVERY_WINDOW_STATIC_MSG","value":"true"}]}}

This happened last time they updated the delivery windows too, though they didn't leave it like this for a week, it was just for a day. They set this to true while they updated all the windows in the background then reverted to false at the end of the load. Looks like they may be updating sooner than the very last day of the month this time around. Fingers crossed anyway ?

My completely speculative guess is those with quad motor/large battery configurations will move sooner a bit.

Enough info has come out about the dual-motor options in the last few months that I expect a number of people have switched to dual motor. I recently made this switch.

I also think the recent tech-layoffs (a major demographic of buyers) combined with higher interest rates are pushing up the number of people choosing not to take delivery.

I doubt there will be many changes for those waiting on the options that aren't yet being delivered or for those not near a service center.

Yep, looks like they've started the update process. My last status was Oct-Dec 2023 (R1S, reserved July 1, 2021), and it's now "processing".

I'm guessing now that they have a process that worked last quarter, this quarter was easier for them to manage and get updates done quicker after the "lock" date.

Processing here as well. Poking around the GraphQl I noticed this little tidbit:

{"data":{"featureFlags":[{"id":"rivian-guide","enabled":true}]}}

Any chance this is a good sign that I am getting a guide? Or is it just something I didn't notice before...
