    FWIW I removed the shield on mine and went from Jul-Sept to Oct-Dec but obviously there could have been a myriad of factors contributing to the change.

    This 1000x. I loved Rivian and was singing their praises to everyone but after being bumped a third time and seeing dual motors now in line ahead of me I am just pissed off about it. You have been waiting longer than me so you def have more reason to be angry. Hopefully, my anger will subside...

I understand from a purely numbers perspective why it would be tempting do that but pissing off your first customers for better quarterly numbers for shareholders is not a sign of good management.     Basically, what the title says. I removed the underbody armor on my configuration to get under the possible 80K tax credit cutoff and delivery shifted back to Q4. Just kind of wondering what happened with other folks that made or didn't make changes.

    Not sure if it messed me up or not but I removed the underbody shield and got pushed back to Q4 from Q3. Just FYI.
