So I was putzing around in my T, yesterday, and went into the Camping screen. In the Energy Use portion, I selected Stay Off. The options are Stay Off, Normal, and Stay On. The screens went blank and I left the car. Normally I see 1-2% drain every 24 hours. This time, 16 hours later, I had not lost a single percentage point or a single mile of range!!! WTH! I drove the truck a bit, today. When I got home, I selected the same Turn Off setting. As I sit here, the truck has been sitting an additional 10 1/2 hours with NO energy drain, whatsoever. How is this happening? And, no I have not updated to 50,01, yet. I will continue to monitor this situation. But, for now, something is certainly working and the only thing I have changed is the Camping energy use setting, I realize I’m far from the only person who has used this setting, but I can’t recall anyone else having this great fortune.

You already had pretty good fortune before this. I am losing >5% per day when parked in my garage with both gear guard off and proximity unlocking off.

Weird how variable this loss can be. I see 1% loss at most over a 24-hr period of leaving it unattended. That’s with GG on, proximity sensing on, no special steps taken. During past holidays left it for 12 days and lost 11% SoC. That with waking it thru app 2 or 3 times daily just to “see” things were stable.

I did a vampire drain test in November/December and, while in Camp/Off, did not see any reduction in drain.

Interesting for sure!

I just installed 2023.50.01 yesterday and started a 24hr vampire drain test at 4pm yesterday. If at 4pm today I still see my customary 1.2kWh/day loss I will reset the trip odometer again and try your method!

just so I can understand better as I haven’t taken my S camping yet, are you putting the truck into camp mode while conducting this test or is it just being parked and left to sleep like normal everyday use?

I'm sad to not read about garlic air fresheners, silver emblem overlays, and crosses etched into your seats.

I did not put the truck in camp mode. Just set the Energy Use to Stay Off.

It is now 9 degrees out and the truck has been outside in some snow all night. Since 12 noon yesterday until now, 19 1/2 hours, it has lost 1%. So, maybe not the cure I had originally thought, but not bad, considering conditions. Not sure how it was essentially zero the day before. We’ll see what happens going forward.

Same. Many days I lose 0% in a 24 hours period parked at home, Gear Guard Off, Proximity lock/unlock off. No other special steps.

I'm going to try this too before installing the .50 update. Thanks for the tip.

Just checked after running 2023.50.01 for 24hrs.. still 1.2kWh/day loss... no change from loss under previous SW.

I zeroed out the trip odometer and set Energy Use to "Stay Off" under Camp Mode for the next 24hr test. Will report back after 4pm tomorrow if the vamps don't get me ;)

Maybe also try a reboot after your camping mode test. I'm still waiting on the FW here.
