Do the slates "overlap" each other, or do they lay flush to each other? It looks flush to me, but may just be the angle.
Pretty flush. It seems like each slat has a slightly rounded groove that the next one fits in to create the “seal”

Just picked up my truck from getting the new updated powered tonneau cover installed at the Denver service center. They said they went to normal to watch them test the cover and that engineers poured sand into and on top of the cover and it ran with no problem.

They said it was the 2nd ever updated install and they ran it 20 times with no issues or weird noises before calling me to pick it up. I think it works and sounds much better now! The slats don’t sound like they are bending and fighting each other and the motor isn’t getting as bogged down.

Updates:
Still just One motor
Updated spring system to prevent panels from getting out of alignment
Updated bottom panel system
Reinforced interior and gearing
Something internally to help keep slats/gears clean

It’s about the same as before water resistance but not fully water tight. Little drips get in on the side but not much.
Have you taken it through a car wash yet? I am just thinking about valuables stored under the cover and the possibility of water damage.

Seems to be the same thick double walled slats with a smoother joint. Honestly doesn’t have any major differences from the original panels.
Kind of makes me wonder if you received anything different, design wise.

Does anyone know if the cover has a published load capacity? I'm thinking if you wanted to stand on it to fix a gutter or something. Or would you have to try to balance on the bed sides and hope you didn't accidently step on the cover?

Did Denver SC provide any clues as to how many they hope to do each month?

Awesome to finally hear someone has had the new PTC installed. I was in my local SC and asked them if there is any news. I was told only 3 or 4 had been installed and they were all employee vehicles. That was last week.

Mine still works if I help it open and close, mine also sounds exactly like that it doesn't seem like they fixed much. I swear the one they showed in the video from rivian when they introduced the manual tonneau looked completely different and made no crazy noise
