This will be subjective of course. I like the Lomax. There are many other good options out there too depending on the look your going for.

I don't have a tonneau cover yet; so I can't really answer the OP's question with a valid opinion, but I've been looking too and am interested.

The Lomax one is probably convenient as a tri-fold "bakflip" type of cover. Should be quick to open/close, resilient, and probably what a lot of people are used to if they had this type of cover on previous trucks. It might even be more weather / water proof for your gear than other ones since it sits on top; not sure. I have not been considering the Lomax one for my Rivian really because I think it would feel silly to buy a $100,000 truck and put something on top that does not even use those tracks/grooves the truck came with. :D

I think the interrobang one looks great, but I held off on an order for that one because their website says orders will ship in 6-8 weeks right now, so I thought maybe if I wait a little while, the manual Rivian one in the gear shop, that has said "coming s00n" for months now, might be available soon. :movember: I'm now realizing that coming soon might mean never, so I probably should have just ordered Interrobang before I got my truck.

Tail Lidz looks good in pictures, but I still don't think I've found or seen a video of opening, closing, or stowing it, so not sure. I have seen good reviews on here though.

I bought an Interrobang. The delivery was a little slow but that is because they are a small operation. It fits in the existing track and the tailgate when closed acts as the locking mechanism preventing its removal. I have been extremely pleased with it.

Another Interrobang owner here, it's well made and very solid, and looks good closed. (it's only annoying if you're a person who will open and close it often) But I use it more for aerodynamic, aesthetic and create a "secure trunk". no one is going to be cutting it and/or peeling a corner and popping the latch.

I didn't want a Cloth velcro, C clamp janky solution, and Like how it utilizes the OEM rails and slides in and sits flush with the bed. It looks solid and great in it's closed position. (but it is not a cheap option).

My Dream is that Rivian would of made their manual cover exactly like the powered one, just without the motors and have it work like a roll up garage door. You just pull it out, and push it in. (Even hyundai has something similar on a vehicle that's 40% of the price of an R1T).

It's not like we get the space back either on the trucks that didn't come with the powered cover either.

I've been very happy with the TailLidz option. Ordered it four days before I picked up the truck and it arrived the morning of. Looks great, and it's nice to have a little more security for the bed.

I decided on it because the delivery timeline was a lot shorter than Interrobang was quoting. Biggest downside is that it doesn't fit in the tunnel for storage and it's a tight fit, so you really have to slam the tail gate. But, I do like only having three pieces to manage rather than multiple smaller ones.

I have the Interrobang cover, and my only complaint is that it doesn't create a water-tight seal, so definitely something to keep in mind when storing gear.

I've had an Interrobang cover for a short while, but it's been fantastic so far. I wanted something that slides rather than folds so that it wouldn't get in the way of a bed-mounted tent (or any other gear on bed-mounted crossbars).

It's not completely waterproof, but it seems pretty decent — during recent rain storm, it left some wet patches in the bed, but no real liquid got in.

Can anyone comment on the interrobang cover vs the RIVN manual cover? Waiting 6-8 weeks for interrobang vs waiting unknown s00n for rivian one is my dilemma. Was hoping maybe the Normal shutdown would see tonneau covers show back up in the gear shop, but apparently not.

I bought a cheap snowboard bag off Amazon for dirt cheap and saved the money

Another Interrobang customer here. Took exactly 8 weeks to ship… just as promised. WELL worth the wait. Every indication is it will be SUBSTANTIALLY more durable than the Rivian manual cover, which I had on order but canceled based on all the poor reviews. The interrobang cover is not a cheap option, but definitely fits the high quality look of the R1T that I was hoping to get with the Powered Tonneau Cover (PTC) before that option was removed. Someday if/when a retrofit PTC is actually made available I would love to have one - IF it turns out to be truly durable based on real world use… and IF it looks as good as the Interrobang cover (and IF I don’t have to sell a kidney to afford it).

Thank you Mr. Phat! I think this is the type of reply I needed.

That's exactly what I want. Until and unless it's made I am holding off on buying a bed cover.

I bought the EV Sportline soft cover, and I do not recommend it, for the following reasons:
  • the rails were just a touch too long, and closing the tailgate now requires more force than it should
  • the rails extend into the bed area (side to side) enough that my spare tire compartment no longer can open all the way.
Other than those two things, it's worked well. Pretty water tight and sturdy.
