Anyone else with Connect + and Autonomous driving subscriptions still waiting for the latest update ( three days and counting) My app updated automatically a few days ago, but nothing to the R1T ( gen 2)
Vivian has Connect + and A. I just saw that it was going to install tonight at midnight. I was able to initiate update from my phone. Updating now, looking forward to it.

I wasn't late getting the update due to bad luck, it was because rebooting was needed -

In the driveway before leaving; I reset the vehicle. Then within a half hour, I get a notification thru Rivian Roamer that the update was available.

on the way home I downloaded it from my phone with WiFi as a hotspot.

I understand the staggered release schedule.

this wasn't that.

With my BMW, I never had to reset infotainment to get an update, just when eSIM was flukey.

this appears that I was in queue for the duration but since vehicle wasn't reset the connectivity didn't happen.
This will not change your position in the queue.

However, there are health checks that must pass for you to be flagged. THere's a chance one was failing and by rebooting you cleared it.

There are about 12 health checks that have to pass. There is no way to know if they are currently passing.

Jesus Christ, what’s the reaction when you have to reboot your phone, laptop or router. As a software-based piece of tech, this happens from time to time and just a fact of life for it. Having spent $113k on a vehicle doesn’t make you more immune to the nature of the tech than anyone else

Once again, incorrect.

In Rivian Roamer, this portion of the update section only showed "idle " when clearly the 07 version was on the vehicle.

Now after the update and reset, it shows this - so, the connectivity wasn't working until the reset.

I saw a few other posts where other owners said this was a well known thing to try.

I figured, with all the trouble shooting I did making sure I had a strong connection and even changing the time for download a few dozen times -

it never worked on hotspot or home WiFi in the driveway.

the fact that it let me download the entire update while driving connected to hotspot is wild.

I think you're just grumpy because Spurs are sucking this season. I can somewhat relate - Chelsea :(

If you had to use your phone as a hotspot it would seem you don't have Connect+. Connect+ users are updated first and (my understanding) is that it is required for Rivian Assistant.

Just wait until you vehicle gets it's service done. It will most likely get rebooted during that appointment, and there is nothing in this update that is of a safety-related nature. The update will make it to your vehicle. Patience is a good thing.

Mine finally updated when I did a reset or restart - even scheduled a service visit to ensure my connectivity is correct.

A $113k vehicle shouldn't have to reset their vehicle to make it grab an update on a week old vehicle built in Dec 2025
Updates are released in batches for a good reason(s). Not everyone (or even every connect + subscriber) can be first.
The reset and your update are most likely coincidental and your impatience made it impossible for you to know whether there was any connectivity issue

I wanted to see how ridiculous that I spent last 3 days trying to see if my vehicle can connect to the servers to download the update and for it to be able to get it thru a hotspot while driving home - needs WiFi. So figured fuckit my iPhone has hotspot.
I guess everyone else is cool with a 4 day old new vehicle not getting a download with a prepaid year of Connect + parked less than 10 feet from a WiFi 6 e router with 5 gig has anything but but luck in the roll out queue.
The bad info and notion that "coincidence bro, sucks to suck"you just literally reset your vehicle and a half hour later there's a message that it's now ready. Literally with the Rivian Roamer dashboard showing idle in software section. Mind you it already has 07 - then to go check Rivian Roamer again to see the entire software section on the dashboard somehow show everything I'm assuming populated; and not only the 60 day trial connect. But a year prepaid.
I don't know. Rivian might not be as sophisticated as you all think.
I also have a i7 that's only glitch is losing eSIM whenever there's an update. I know about resetting a vehicle.
I'm fairly technical and have a degree in network systems administration.
But yeah - luck of the draw

I recently traded my LE for a 2026 Quad. The first update I was near the back of the queue for Connect+ subscribers.. The 2nd month I was in the middle. I expect my place in line to vary month-to-month, as it has over the last 4 years. Patience is a virtue.
