+1 have the gear gaurd guy say I'm looking after the dog while the owner is out and keeping things comfy. No key required in the car. If the dog barks alert via app with in car video I think they have a camera right.

Camp mode so I can camp in the truck in comfort.

Wheel changing mode for the suspension, if it doesn't exist already.

They do have a Tire Change mode (pg 155 of the Owner's Guide).
I've added that to the list of current modes. Also updated the votes on the first post as well.

@rosspa2, what does Camp Mode look like to you? At my First Mile drive, the local Rivian employee talked about camping directly in the bed of the truck and wanting to be able to control the led lights the line both sides of the truck bed.

The discussion on vampire drain has me thinking about a Dumb Truck Mode, aka Low Power Mode that could be one-tap enabled when you exit the truck that would disable gear guard, put the vehicle into a deep sleep mode, and have it disconnect from wifi/cellular until it has been unlocked and the mode turned off. This could be helpful for those leaving their truck at a trailhead or the airport for an extended period of time.

Unfortunately this still requires you to set the suspension mode and height before enabling Tire Change mode. Tire Change mode should do all of that automatically.

With the initial 8 Drive Modes at launch (plus Tire Change mode), and now a 10th (Car Wash Mode) rolling out via 2022.11.2 OTA update, I'm curious what other drive modes this community can inspire Rivian to build next.

I'll plan to update this first post to include all suggestions, along with that post's upvotes (keep suggestions one per post).

Thanks to @kanundrum for first sharing that awesome Rivian Drive Modes video. If you haven't seen it yet, highly recommend widescreen viewing with volume up.

You're absolutely right, should just combine those two steps. Tapping Tire Change mode should first set the ride height to Max, then apply the other tire change settings.

Though you'll probably want to use Entry/Exit/Kneel/Low mode first, just to climb into the bed and pull out the 90lb tire!

Gabriel, I'd like this mode as well, even if just for making it easier for my dog to get in and out of the truck. Max ride height takes quite the "launch mode" to complete the aerial maneuver required to stick the landing in the back seat.

Entry/Exit mode could pull the steering wheel up and in away from the driver, even roll up windows, turn off wipers, set lights to parking. This could be set to be activated on park every time. Or double-tapping park could turn it on just that one time.

Broken for you mode - Anytime it's not my phone sensed as the driver, the car screens glitch, and errors are displayed. This of course will mean that even with my best intentions of letting someone else drive, they can't. Of course, as soon as I sit in the drivers seat, all errors automatically clear

"I guess its just broken for you..."

Nobody mentioned Tank turn mode, yet?
Diff lock simulation (front, center and rear.)
Cheetah stance (drag strip.)
"Summon" (all I use is straight forward and straight reverse for the garage.)

Shipping mode is supposed to be that. But they must have broken it at some point because it doesn't make it any better.

Brian, yes, I just saw that mode the other day. Seems like it would be the ideal stationary mode for an extended stay at a trailhead or airport. Personally, I'd prefer this style of preserve parked mode that uses the least amount of energy possible, mainly so I never need to use the Conserve drive mode.

Rethinking this thread's subject line, it is probably worth breaking these modes into Drive Modes and Service/Stationary Modes. The Sand Mode that RJ referenced is clearly a new upcoming Drive Mode, whereas Dog Mode seems more like a Stationary Mode, unless the truck starts navigating all routes passed a Petco or park and the air vents start tossing out dog treats every 10 miles.

The ability to customize modes, or have your own pre-sets.

For example: Conserve mode, but with soft suspension in all-purpose height. Because man, the lowest suspension setting on conserve is BRUTAL over bumps. I'd still want the original Conserve mode, but having 4 or 5 customizable pre-sets would allow me to setup "Comfort Conserve" if I wanted. Trade off a little range for cush ride.

Trailer Backup Mode: Slow max speed, regen on max (+ hill hold assist), and the abilty to add a rear facing remote trailer camera to the view on the dash.

Campground mode

Exterior lights and sounds are disabled (stealth lock/unlock) while parked unless they are overridden and turned on, low power usage (climate disabled) to conserve battery, power outlets turned on.

Right now, I’m looking at putting blackout tarps over the front and rear ends of the truck when camping to avoid the wrath of campground neighbors. The truck is a little bit overactive with the flashing lights and noises.
