we bought Mach E last December and R1s in 2022 December. We thought wait for R2 but its 3 more years (worst case ) so took MACH-EJust purchased an R1T on Friday, I'm pretty confident I'll be putting in a reservation for this as a replacement for our Mach E. The timing on that works out pretty well.
The gov't changed the requirements for the CHMSL from a pure "acreage" (physical size of light) to "visibility" requirement a few years ago. I would imagine this was designed with the specifications in mind. That cyclops light can’t meet regulations, can it? Seems way too small.
Woo! Mach-E + Rivian club! (as is my sister-in-law.)we bought Mach E last December and R1s in 2022 December. We thought wait for R2 but its 3 more years (worst case ) so took MACH-E
To my knowledge, there are no regulations on size. Only that there has to be one and be "steady-burning". At any rate, what will be revealed is a concept of varying degrees, but a concept nonetheless. Just as the journey R1 took from unveiling to production, many small changes can occur. The general design will remain intact. That cyclops light can’t meet regulations, can it? Seems way too small.
