Very neat, love these plant tours, gives some insight into the process and the thinking behind them.

I wouldn't mind Rivian offering R1S/X in Amazon Blue color. I think the vehicle would look pretty sharp and not as bright as Rivian Blue.

Wonder why Kawasaki decided to show this video now.

Even though an old video, still fun to watch! This is probably my most re-watched video on the official Rivian channel. That drone operator is slick!

Maybe because part of the refresh, line update, involved adding robots as well as reprogramming existing ones to be more efficient. RJ either said it during earnings call or the CNBC interview. Don't recall specifically which.

Seems vaguely familiar, like Kawasaki recycled that Rivian video with the drone flying thru the plant.

Yeah, they did: A TOUR OF THE RIVIAN PLANT
I can tell you that when i toured the Normal plant in June the Kawasaki robots in the BIW shop appeared to be old models probably aquired from purchase of the old Mitsubishii plant and retooled. Many required tool changes to complete an operation with much inherent wasted cycle time.
The major players in auto assembly today Toyota and Ford and including Tesla use Fanuc and KUKU 6 axis robots. These are long lead items and i hope that Rivian has some on order for the new R2 platform. I do not see any Kawasaki in auto plants in my travels.
Concerned that Javier Varela from Volvo will replace Frank Klein hired from Magna as COO after less than 2 years. Klein is a seasoned veteran and no doubt had a different vision than RJ and I'm sure will walk away well compensated.
