Not the sliding rear window, but on this early R2 video, they show the back two windows as being able to pop open. Does anyone know if that feature made it into the production Vehicle?

With rising inflation, and in order to meet already published price targets, something had to go. This is one of those things.

EVEN Though some reviewers still reference them, after it was obvious they were no longer an option.

Cutout on the body structure still looks like it's there. Personally I think Rivian should have made it an option instead of getting rid of it. Maybe it'll come back eventually, who knows.

Agreed. I'm kinda glad they didn't make it. I've had them in many other vehicles but never use them due to buffeting. Very limited value IMHO.

Well, we both live in areas where you can't reliably leave your entire car open the whole day. At least half the time I did that with my convertible, I ended up having to put the top up because of rain that wasn't forecasted. The other half I'd end up with birdshit somewhere in the interior.

I had pop-up rear windows on a Plymouth Voyager minivan. They were entirely mechanically operated. There were two large rotating knobs in the headliner above the front seat. Yes, a bench seat in front. They were awkward and needed strength to operate. They were electric in the Dodge Caravan. They eventually bound up so they wouldn't close unless you got out of the car and pushed on them. One had to be careful never to open them. Altogether, not useful.
The pop out rear windows on my father's Austen 850 (mini variant) had a toggle that the passenger pushed/pulled. They worked well, but back seat passengers in an original mini?

I don’t know how much value they’d add unless they were motorized. There’s not a seat back there so you’d have to go back and do it manually. Seems like a pain when you can just open the back window if you want much more air flow.

If R1S with 3 rows seating doesn't have it then why should R2 if you ask me. We've already hit the jackpot with the roll down rear window.
