R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

So I went to the service center cuz I just couldn’t wait to see it. Unfortunately, this one also has some issues but nothing as bad as the first one. I found out the service center rejected that one and said that it should’ve never left the factory. Most of it is just alignment/ panel gap issues. I did notice the rear driver side window trim was lifting. Factory PPF looked really good from what I quickly saw.

Thank you! Yes, it was shipped via truck. The first one I rejected actually showed up faster than this one did.

Yesterday the shop was very full and new R1S' were being added all day. I snagged my Limestone/OC... and I had just about every combo of Limestone/OC to pick from (LE/AE, 20s, 21, 22, etc.) Pretty easy to find what you are looking for.

I got access to the shop June 1st, picked an exact build June 8th when I randomly checked in, paperwork and wire sent that day, they wanted to deliver via KC the following week but I pushed it out to end of June due to vacations. Crazy easy and fast process with quick communications. Scheduled the day after we return home.

Long story, which I'll save for another post. Short version: lost our original R1S to an accident and are now replacing it.

Glad to hear / see that -- I know it's been a journey for you! Fortunately, those all look to be very minor issues that should be easily (and quickly) corrected by Rivian during PDI and any similar issues like that should be easy enough to address with service even if you don't see them until after delivery. Hopefully the end of your wait is very near!!

Ouch, very sorry to hear that. Mind sharing what insurance company you have & how fairly they paid out to reflect current MSRP / market values?

I just heard back from my guide to schedule initial inspection before taking delivery.

At the same time I received an email from Rivian to setup delivery and only had one option which was for this Saturday.

I will swing by tomorrow to inspect the vehicle and see if I want to take actual delivery the following day.

I completed my 7th / 8th step which was the down payment. I went with the PLAID option / ACH to help expedite the process.

The last step is insurance on the vehicle which I should have completed by today for an effective date of Saturday.

I might be getting a Rivian s00ner than I expected.
