Vancouver one was started sometime late summer, it became operational in nov-Dec. presuming same amount of time, the GTA one should be up and running late spring?

Rivian should be updating delivery windows by the end of this month. So will know if they will meet this time window for Ontario order holders.

For us unfamiliar with this process, what does it mean for this project to be in Matheson's 'Upcoming Tenders?" Are they bidding on the job to Rivian on Jan 17? (alongside other companies I presume).

At which point Rivian will undoubtedly need time to review, consider, reply to the bidders before awarding a contract that has to be executed and work actually started?

So simplest readers digest version to explain this… let’s say you just bought an old fire station and you want to convert it into a family dwelling. You hire an architect who draws up a design that you love, next step you hire a general contractor (Matheson) you give them your architectural design and they create a project with all the details (tender) for construction companies to bid on ie; plumbing, electrical and structural. The GC (Matheson) gives these companies a deadline (Jan 17th) to submit their quotes. After 17th, the project manager at Matheson reviews the bids, and awards the contract, construction on your fire station commences…make sense?

I thought Matheson was actually going to do the build out. But from your explanation it appears that they are the GCs and have given other trades/smaller companies until Jan 17 to get back to them with quotes for the scope of work.

Hoping this means we see progress soon at the service centre!

My delivery date moved back from July-Sept to October-December likely due to the lack of progress for this service centre location.

Looks like this SC is not getting completed any time soon !

If BC is any example, there is a pretty big delay from completion of the SC and a ramp up of deliveries... Looks like Vancouver is still only seeing very small numbers through the next month or two, with a ramp up later this spring.
