  1. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

I didn't get an email either (took delivery over a year ago), just reached out to service. They opted me in, and said that a few have already gone out so they have started shipping, but no idea how many.
  2. How is DC fast charging going for my Canadian R1 drivers?

Agree with Truffle. Iā€™m in BC, and Iā€™d say 1/5 of the time fast charging working sounds pretty accurate. I bought an adapter to plug into the 30A plugs at campsites just in case too, but havenā€™t needed that yetā€¦ public charging is awful.
  3. No Email from Rivian for the Tesla NACS Adapter...

No email, have had my T for over a year. Patience, itā€™ll come.
  4. 267 Dulles Toll Road Tuesday 3/12/2024 9:00pm - Are you in here?

Your good deed for the day. May your karma points be returned in short order.
  5. Snow tires and rims

If you do wind up making a change, here is what I went with and have been happy with them - they've performed great in the snow, slush and ice but also day to day. I did a minor efficiency comparison test, and as best as I can tell it's about a 5% hit from the 21s...
  6. Snow tires and rims

Hmm, lots of people have aftermarket rims and tires, including me. Instinct tells me itā€™s probably something else causing itā€¦ unless youā€™re rubbing in a low setting? My snow tires are definitely bigger than my stock 21s, so I avoid the low height setting
  7. Sharing My Calgary Delivery Experience

Welcome to the club! I'm coming up on a year, and still love it as much as day 1. I actually had the same issue with the roof trim piece, which they easily fixed under warranty (super smooth process). But when they did, they also wound up chipping the roof glass which turned into a crack, which...
  8. Anyone ever hauled a king mattress in the R1T?

Send a pic when you attempt :) Reminds me of a time I lived in Houston, was driving on the highway next to a old car with a mattress on the roof with no ropes or straps, but a skinny dude lying on top holding it down and four hands sticking out of windows trying to hang on to it
  9. RAN charging network to open for non-Rivian owners in second half 2024

I wonder if we'll ever see one in Canada. I imagine it's still a looong way down their priority list.
  10. Accuracy of speedometer

I believe this is true of almost all vehicles. I assumed a liability thing. Though my winter tires are slightly larger, which brought my speedo to almost perfectly accurate!
  11. What was your Canadian trade-in experience?

Itā€™s been a year but the quote I got on my Subaru was very low. Theyā€™re not in the business of dealing with the hassle so youā€™ll easily get way more selling privately.
  12. 2024.03 Software Update *BETA* (Quick Controls, Individual Passenger Window Locking, Ride Feel & Ride Height Improvements & More)

Yup, got mine last night and I'm never near the front of the line (which is good, I drag my feet). Canada must have been pushed first as you and others have said.
  13. Cracked windshield, with a 3 month wait time

In Vancouver they have one certified repair shop that can do them, I think they need to get more!
  14. Trouble in the snow with my QM R1T Adventure

Tires tires tires I have the Blizzaks for winter - they have performed great. But yeah, tough investment to make if you rarely need them!
  15. Spotify issues with 2023.50.1?

Yup, since this last update two of my saved Podcasts won't show any content. Tried everything, nothing brought them back. I can still find the episode I want to listen to on my phone, search for that specific episode through the truck search function and then play it. First issue I've had with...
  16. Import fees for EV Sportline to Canada

Yup, exact same thing happened to me last summer. Ordered two items from them and they sent two shipments and I got dinged big time. I sent them an email to complain about the multiple shipments (the email wasn't even a complaint - just a heads-up and feedback), they didn't care. They know it...
  17. How long to register new TPMS?

I have limited knowledge of TPMS sensors but I have aftermarket versions on my snow tires and they paired within a minute or two of drivingā€¦ I think thatā€™s what is ā€œsupposedā€ to happenā€¦
  18. Weird slow speed behaviour - reverses instead of hold in snow mode

Maybe itā€™s a North Van feature! Happened to me on a side street hill trying to get to Keith to try and avoid the highway 1 parking lot coming off a ferryā€¦ you didnā€™t happen to be coming back on the ferry from Nanaimo? Another R1T and I shared two ferries yesterday.
  19. snow and ice driving and tire pressure

My $0.02 - I would think lower would give you better grip on ice (more surface area in contact with the ground). I have my Blizzaks at 46 (I've been meaning to top them back up to 48ish though)
