I noticed this as well. I wonder if anyone of us is savvy enough to look for building permit applications? I couldn’t find anything

Not a great location for many of us, but at least good news that there is progress providing a service centre. Does Rivian normally offer valet service in addition to mobile?

Not sure about valet...but I agree about the location. This location would be around 45 mins for me. Something around 427/401 would have been more central for most folks IMO. Selfishly something around the QEW where the Tesla is would've been even better lol

It is an ok trip during non peak hours but during the winter no thanks.

I'd be curious to know the number of reservations for R1T/S by province. Maybe there's just a handful of us in the province wanting a Rivian and so we're at the bottom of the priorities...

Great find!! Thanks for sharing this. Location doesn’t surprise me giving Vaughan being the ‘industrial suburb’ of the GTA. Looks there may some possibility to my July-September window afterall…

Who knows? Demand may be part of it especially considering these are no ordinary EVs being $100k+ and marketed for adventure/leisure.

This is not the ideal location, especially considering the gong show that is the 400 on-ramp from the 401 (Never understood the rationale behind a single exit ramp to the 400). At least coming from the west, we have the option of the 427.

Would have liked something along the 401, but at least it's something. Guess will be making more trips to Vaughan Mills outlets now.

Actually it’s quite convenient for me. Lol. I’m at the 400/401 area. So it’s not far for me to hop on the 400 and be there within 15 mins barring traffic. Looks like it might end up being somewhere in the auto mall at Weston and 407.

I'm actually dropping my son off to Hockey practice at Weston and Steeles this evening. I'm going to drive by and see if I can see anything relevant and report back.

So it was a banquet hall. Some pics I snapped. Was dark. The first 2 pics are looking inside. The others are some permits posted on the door. No sign of Rivian anywhere but the place is perfect for a service Centre. Tons of parking, loading dock and bay doors.

It's Vaughan, so any open building is a banquet hall.

Thanks for doing this! These are demolition permits which will be registered to the property owner. Once Rivian starts renovations the permits will be issued under their name. This is great news for us July-Sept and beyond!
