Ya I would like to see a truck without the off-road package to see if its worth the $2000. For that it should come with the winch ready bumper if its not any extra protection on the battery.

Yup, we all want to see one so we can decide. Makes too much sense though to have one at First Drive events.

Forgot to mention the guide also told me the EPA range test vehicle did not have the off road package. When I asked what the range hit would be with the off road package he said there is no official number.
If true, this is actually pretty encouraging - the Edmunds test vehicle did have the offroad package and still beat the EPA numbers. An R1T without the offroad package should do pretty well.

yeah I don't think the Offroad package will affect range as much as the AT wheels and tires. If you wanted to future proof you could get the Offroad package with the standard wheels for best range and protection and then get a set of off road tires (or wheels and tires) down the road if you need them.

That's a bit concerning. It kinda looks like plastic from the photos but we've heard it addressed as carbon fiber over metal.
Carbon fiber pretty much is just an impregnated plastic. It's a bit weird to just refer to it as plastic but not technically inaccurate.

Yes , would be nice to see one without the package. 2k seems a lot. But right now it looks like every edible produced has the package (seen by the tow hooks).
