I would take the estimated time loosely, in my experience almost all of the updates have been between 75 and 90 minutes from launch to completion.N=1 anecdotal experience:
Initiated the update from the iOS app, then made dinner. Couple hours later checked the app and it still said "preparing update". Went to the vehicle and the infotainment screen still said "preparing update". Called support, they had me do a hard reset, and sent a note to the update team. 15 minutes later the update started (I gave permission for them to initiate) and completed normally.
First time since taking delivery last August that an update had any hiccup.
This is what I thought as well. Is your app on the latest version?I thought I saw somewhere that this update would allow trip planning via the app with trailer profiles. Was I mistaken?
Doesn't appear I can plan trip in towing mode from the app.
I'm on version 2.7.0. Just checked for an update, nothing newer on Android. This is what I thought as well. Is your app on the latest version?
Regarding SUPERCHARGER Access, does this update include software needed to access Tesla Network and we have to wait for Tesla to "flip a switch"? Or is another update needed for that? Most exciting update ever!
It's too far away for me to test, but it sure looks like Tesla plug and charge may be live at magic doc locations. The instructions don't say anything about opening the Tesla app to start the charge.Regarding SUPERCHARGER Access, does this update include software needed to access Tesla Network and we have to wait for Tesla to "flip a switch"? Just kicked off the update. However, I no longer see trip planning with tow profiles in the release notes. It would be a bummer if they pulled it.Tried that, still no option for tow mode.
