Why can't you take it to any normal shop for safety inspection?

AFAIK, they don't have to drive it. Should be able to ask them to send out the tech with a clipboard and walk around the car with them.

That's basically what I do with my motorcycles. I don't go to Jiffy Lube, though, lol. But it's just a regular tire-shop -- nothing special.

You don't need the safety inspection for the initial tag.

hey y'all - i've been told that I can lock in my config for my wife's r1s! while she loves my r1t, she really wants to see the interior of the r1s, specifically the 3rd row. is there anyone in the triangle area willing to let her see?

Hello everyone, very insightful posts, thanks a lot. I'm very excited finally it is my turn to go through the 8 steps. I wanted to ask for all of you who have had your R1T for a year.. Would you buy it again?

My config is glacier white, with OC, 21" wheels, dual-motor, max pack.

All advise is welcome

I would- but I’d buy used if I didn’t get a preorder discount. It’s a phenomenal vehicle. 30k miles this past year and I’ve been thrilled. It’s just a lot of money for a depreciating asset. I’m also worried about post warranty ownership.
