Stars aligned and we were able to get the iKamper Skycamp Mini mounted and aired out ahead of our upcoming trip. It fits the R1T bed well; length, width and height are great. Reverse mounted it to minimize drag as much as possible; shall see if we keep it that way. Quality of the tent is wonderful. This'll be a nice change from years of ultra light 2P tents.

See if you can spot the deer in the first pic 🦌

In the last pic added two little lengths of paracord to the side window that normally couldn't be propped up due to the cab. Tied them to the roof rack mounts and it will now allow airflow and rain protection from both side; easy fix!

I haven't tried that but just eyeballing it I don't see any reason it wouldn't fit. The crossbars will be narrower on the roof but the tent's mounting rails are narrower still.

Got my truck 5/10 and picked up the tent 5/11. Haven't camped in it yet, but here it is somewhat set up on the R1T. Ordered some better corner poles rather than drill extra adjustment holes in the ones it came with. Other than that, I think it's going to be awesome. The vestibule area is large and really sturdy (which will help with the wind). Lots of ventilation and light. I also got an awning/privacy room that drops down from the vestibule, but I forgot to install that. Will do so next time I set up the tent.

Hey man have you tied using the AER as a ground set up?
I saw it advertised as a feature in the kickstarter but haven’t seen it in the wild in any capacity

I believe it requires an extra kit for that functionality, and I didn't get it.

I took a cheap Walmart tent and threw it in the bed... It's a tight fit but it works for me and I can't beat the price!

Mammoth with it in a few weeks

Just chiming in, about to go on first trip with the Ironman 4x4 RTT. Seems to be surprisingly good build quality! I like that the cover is kind of a bed liner finish (won't scuff and scratch and less likely sun damage I think), the inside is roomy and the "mattress" is decent to start with, and their July 4th of July sale is 25% off. Check it out!

I like the look of this when put away. How easy is the setup/teardown of this?

Also how is it attached to your crossbars? Is it via the slots? or brackets around the bars?

It's very easy to put away. Wish it had the bungee cord to go around the middle to help pull things into the middle when closing, but it's really no big deal without it.

The brackets clamp from the bottom of the rack, up to the tent above. There's thick rubber part that fits in the bracket, and they're right at the same width as the Rivian rails.

cool, thanks for the quick response. that's good to hear about the brackets.

You also mentioned the mattress is ok to start with. Have you upgraded to a better one? If so, what did you get?

Nothing yet, but the inside is queen size, and I'd say any 2" memory foam would be perfect.

EDIT: But then how to store??? Hmmm. I wouldn't think you could close the tent with it in there.
