Is the update proving stable? I’m on a road trip, 1000 miles from home. Don’t want to update only to find some line of code is draining the 12v or bricking the vehicle like the .10 (or whatever) update did.

I did a before and after yesterday in the R1S. Maybe it's faster. Maybe it was never slower to begin with.

Or maybe they still need to fix it

But the 21" tires have quite a bit of slip so the real comparison will happen when my R1T with 22's comes out of service.

Still waiting for the update to do a re run of my launch test which resulted in a respectable 3.6 and 3.68 from acceleration onset. R1T 20" AT.

To be clear, it's still stupid fast, just not as punchy as my ride along in November or when I took delivery.

That's not how that works. There are app releases that correlate to certain features from the vehicle OTA, but they are staggered and don't match. For example, OTA 2023.18.0 requires app version 1.14 for full capability.

So tempting to update now, but I'm heading off on a camping trip and my truck works so I guess I'll hold off!

Curiously, my Paak has gotten better on its own recently. No idea why, but the handles are popping out upon walkup now when before I had to wait. (Pixel 7 Pro)
It's still imperfect. I walked by the truck, it unlocked, then I continued down the road, heard it lock. When I walked back a few min later, nothing. Had to unlock via app. Tough nut to crack..

The .18 is for the Rivian vehicle release. The latest IOS is 1.14

Working great for me, but I still can't get Alexa to do SMS messaging which I REALLY miss after having Android Auto. I get tons of work related texts while driving and I find it truly annoying that this feature or lack there of does not work. Otherwise loving my new R1S.

I’m sure it is coming. Supposed to be a big change coming this summer, possible we might see it then.

I know I had my Tesla for a couple of years before I got that feature in an OTA.
