My R1T (picked up on Saturday) already had the update installed when I got it. I've not experienced any of the issues listed, although Apple Music would sporadically "lose" what song it was playing (e.g., the side panel stopped updating the artist/song/cover art), but strangely, it continued w/ the playing time (even though it was incorrect). Clicking to the next or prev song seemed to fix it.

While I don't have a host of issues, I noticed the volume was cranked up after parking my truck and coming back to it a few minutes later. It had gone from something in the low teens to 26 as soon as I opened the door. This was using Spotify.

Apple Music has been pretty unreliable as most people have said, though I am still new to it. The volume is "normal" in Apple Music, but in Spotify they have raised the gain 20-30% so you have fewer useful volume level adjustments. Now anything above 16 or 17 is pretty damn loud. Before I'd have to crank it to 22-23 a similar level. I wonder if this is why people think Spotify sounds better than before.

I have the proximity locking and unlocking issue at home, but also my infotainment has been restarting while driving; basically everything except the right side of the driver display goes black. Have a mobile appt scheduled. Not sure if it’s related to this update or a coincidence that it started around the same time.

Before I got my Rivian these kinds of threads filled me with doom and gloom and while it is understandable everyone here is frustrated at their buggy update, I just wanted to add a data point and say that my R1S worked perfectly before the update, and it’s working perfectly after the update. Love this car.

Gen1 r1t qm. Gave up on apple music but that was an apple issue. Cameras, displays, nav, app, charging all seem OK. Driver+ is dangerous, now. Camp courtesy disengages randomly and this morning it actually turned the front lights on.
Still drives great and basic functionality is exceptional so whatever. I'll just be patiently waiting for the bug fixes that I'm sure are imminent.

Sure seems like the vast majority of the testing was done on gen 2. Mine has been with minimal issues as well. Fixed with one soft reset.

Sorry gen 1 crew, I think Rivian is having some growing pains learning to pull off updates on two different versions of their vehicles (way more so than just R1T/R1S differences they had previously).

I noticed an issue where some ATMOS songs played with Apple Music were missing vocal audio or very low volume vocals. It resolved after a display reset.

Gen 1 Vampire Drain has more than doubled for me. I've gone from 0.8% to nearly 2% per day with GG/PAAK off and fob far away.

I just checked Electrifi data and now the vehicle is sleeping for 30 min and waking for 15 min all day. I think I'll submit a ticket as last time it did this, the 12V battery was diagnosed as low voltage and replaced. Interesting that this FW caused this "problem" to pop up.

Gen 1 R1T. I'm having the proximity issues. At home the truck wasn't recognizing that I was home and would lock and unlock constantly. I re-entered my home location in the nav and that seems to have resolved. But now, according to the Rivian app, the truck thinks I'm at home no matter where I am and won't lock when I leave the truck. I'm at work and the app says my location is home. Not sure how to fix this location issue. Soft reset didn't do it, guess I can try a hard reset..

Anyone have an issue where the system seems to crash and reboot while driving? I was just out doing an errand and it crashed three times in short succession. Big screen went black and the driver's display went white except for speed, gear indicator, turn signals, and lights... It still drove, but...

I did a full reboot of the car when I got home. I’ll see if recognizes my actual location tomorrow and if proximity locking works again. Definitely some weird behaviors after this update.
