The max G's pulled and 0-60 time won't always correlate. Say you're on a surface where you slip right away but then hook up, you could have a slower 0-60 and pull harder G's cause of the hookup. Or say you hookup great right away so Rivian traction control gives you lots of power then you're slipping too much, slowing you down. Or anything in between. The max G just shows you what you got at the moment when you had the most traction and power.

I tested launch mode with my Dragy and found Dragy times to be about .2 seconds slower than the Rivian time. It was very close to the 1ft rollout subtracted time, so that appears to be what Rivian is measuring.

I am seeing great numbers on the DM Performance - as Kyle Connor (out of spec - you tuber) has said - not sure why someone would get a Tri motor - I think the DM non performance vs DM performance - probably has much more difference than a DM Performance vs Tri Motor. It would be cool to compare - especially in every day driving as I wouldn't think you are missing much by going with the DM Performance.
When we bought our Tri in Jan of 2025 it was approx 6k more than than the DMP equipped the same. I'm fairly confident it will bring more than 6k in resale vs a DMP and we get to enjoy the Ascend interior.

The tri motor (and quad) gets you the 11000 lb tow rating. The duals are only like 5000 to 7700 lbs.

I’m beginning to wonder how accurate these figures are. You’re pulling over 1G, yet 0-60 time is slower than those with 0.95 G
It hit hard but then blew the front tires once the weight actually shifted. That's why I said it was wild, tons of tire slip and all over the place. Last year shortly after I first got the car, the record g-force I saw was 1.26 but I didn't do a full 60 pull that time.

That's for Gen 2. If someone gets a Gen1, it's 11k lbs across the board for R1T.

Since new season of F1 Drive to Survive dropped today… modern F1 supposedly do 0-60 in 2 to 2.7s. We are not far off in our 7k+ pound trucks. Another mind boggling thought to have.

The 2024 Dual Large is 11,000 lbs. They dropped it in 2025.

It was pretty well documented on Gen1 quad motors that up to about 45mph, sport gave you the most power. But above that it reduced power for some reason
Rivian started out with all motors putting out as much power as they were comfortable warrantying. When they came out with Sport mode, they had to pull power from the fronts to get a rear power bias. It seems like someone decided that 45 mph is the point where the trade off between rear power bias vs full power should happen.
A gen1 RAD tuner that allows a driver to adjust the amount of power reduced and the speed at which it happens would be a really good update to have. If it came along with text to voice and V2H charging I would pay for it.
Sorry getting off topic but I couldn’t let a “for some reason..” go by without sharing info.

Gen 1 quad. I’m not getting the metrics after using launch mode. Am I doing something wrong. No 0-60 times showing. Suggestions?

Anyone else feel like tire choice doesn't make a much a difference as it should? Toyo Proxies, 70ish day, 90ish% charge.

Probably not for 7k+ lbs pressing down on them and torque for days. Elevation, weather (wind) and air density (aero) play a role too. I don't see too many paying attention to that. There's also the road surface not being all the same.
