I’m no production engineer, but I can’t imagine that body panels would not be fully painted in final color and finish at this stage of assembly. So either it’s a “real” final paint job, or intentionally left in some less than final stage as a test vehicle. We can only speculate, though, since Rivian is obviously still stuck in a stealth mindset.

I agree with you, my guess is this is the Launch Green color, unless they are going to add another paint color upon "ordering time" referencing past discussions on this forum about a cool primer color. It is getting close to production time so we will see soon enough...

Like many, my LE Reserved R1T (or other's R1S) presently configured with "Launch Green" paint.
There's been enough images of Forest Green in shade mistaken for Launch Green spotted.
Until Rivian unveils the LG paint - almost surely to be different than Configurator shows it -
lets take a poll for most popular paint color closely matching your choice for "Launch Green"

Dang is right - wow, that looks incredible! There's that hint of yellow in the metallic flakes of the paint right under the headlights that ties in so well with the muted gold trim. Flashy? yes. Launch Green? Also yes
